@radiman we save about ~8grams but you can put that in a bunch of different places. Back for more MOI, Forward for lower CG, etc... so fixed hosel in this line was in order to maximize the kind of performance we were trying to achieve with each model.
@Jman you more or less nailed it. It has been a natural evolution of where the tech is leading us. Additionally, the Tour guys have also been gravitating towards the more mid spin set ups so the need for the ultra ultra low spinning model was getting smaller and smaller.
Mr. @Canadan the new Apex hybrid quite simply has the most tech we have ever put in a hybrid...
-EXTREME Tungsten Weighting (up to 70 grams depending on loft) located all the way back in the head for amazing launch + cray forgiveness
-Jailbreak AI Velocity Blades + AI Flash Face - more...
@dacatalyst41 @gkeller813 in short:
Apex 21 - Bringing AI face technology for the first time to a Forged Players iron. Making these the best performing Apex irons ever.
Apex Pro - All new hollow body construction, new to the Apex Pro line that has allowed us to do some cool things with cg...
@BriMac Recoil Dart has been doing extremely well and is a very popular option. Recoil is one of (if not the) golden standard for graphite irons shafts. We have been getting a ton of kudos for bringing Recoil back as a stock option.
@badolds the Max LS head definitely has the most neutral CG of the three and will be less draw biased than the MAVRIK you are playing. It's also way more forgiving that Mav standard. MAX LS is slinging 8,450 points of MOI. So on paper, you made the right decision for mitigating the left miss.
Could be! He needs to compare and contrast Max LS and Epic Speed to see which one he likes more and which one is producing more favorable launch conditions.
@JMB3 by far most excited about the new Epic Speed Driver. Waltzed into the year thinking I was a Max LS guy and was loving it util I put epic speed in play a couple weekends ago and was longer & more accurate. As Phil would say...High, nasty, Straight BOMBS!
Hey @Iceman! Good question. The new Apex DCB's are loaded with more tech than the Rouge X irons.
-AI faces in Apex DCB are more speed and spin robust.
-Tungsten Energy Core helps achieve more consistent launch window.
-DCB will have better Forged Feel.
-Cleaner Apex look
Hey @MH the red stroke lab shaft is a stock option on the new White Hot OG line, in stores now. As far as the new Tens line? Not an option at the moment.
@badolds lots of detail went into the mixed sets, almost too much to get into here. But in this podcast, @vgolfman, who helped mastermind the combo menu breaks down the rationale and thought process behind each set.
Fitting Room: Ep. 156 - The Apex (Not So Secret) Combo Menu
@ddec some very small shaping difference but the size of Apex 21 is comparable to Apex 19. The DCB's are definitely a bit larger but even those are not much bigger.
Hey @GolfFest, no difference in the construction across the line. All hollow body construction which is really cool for this set of irons.
As the face get's thinner and more toward the irons that have face cup, there is more need for the microspheres which is why you see them in the 9-3. The PW...
@dacatalyst41
You know what's crazy? I was loving the LS Driver but I got on the launch monitor the other day with Gerritt and the Epic Speed Model was hitting a better spin window, with tighter discretion for me. So have been gaming that with the Ventus Black. Definitely one of the biggest...
