The Car Shopping Thread

Picked up the new motor today. Had to do the whole carmax thing, but apart from that, I am like a kid at Christmas with this car. Way more fun to drive than the 5.0. Feels punchier low down, handles like a go cart, and my worries about buying my first automatic were not realized. Took the twisties home and ended up in bumper to bumper traffic just outside Santa Cruz. Love how the car rev matches on down shifts, the car stays in gear when you switch to the paddles, and not having to use a clutch in stop start traffic, I feel I’ve been missing out for 30 years LOL

Hot hatch!

An experience like mine just now is why I ******* hate car salesmen and dealerships.. had locked up the de earlier this week, gave my credit card for good faith, they did credit check and approval, etc and set to go get it tomorrow.

I call my salesman and he is off today, but I get a call from him saying they sold it to someone earlier today. He is checking but basically code for that it's gone and they screwed me over. I hate people

A year and a half with a Telluride and my wife loves it. Great size for our family of 5 for around town, but was also a pleasure to drive on a 10 hour road trip. If you put the back row down you would have loads of space. It get pretty good gas mileage for a 3 row, with more than enough power for usual driving. We got the EX and feel like the fit and finish for the price is really good.

The telluride seems best bang for the buck and beat the Highlander in a lot of categories. The one we had lined up with a 2021 EX with captains package, 22k miles, for 33.4.. a great deal for that package and miles, similar are maybe $35k+ for 35k+ miles

Anyone here have a mini convertible? I’m old and tall need to be sucks to transport 2 adults some luggage sometimes a stupid ******* 95 lb dog or 2 adults and golf clubs.

Never had a convertible but I had a 4 door for a while. I absolutely loved it but for a 6’2 person it might feel a little small. Could easily fit 3 people and 3 bags with a seat down. Big dog could be a challenge

Was not planning on getting a car for at least a year, but started having some issues with my 2013 Honda Accord that would have caused me to put more money into it than I wanted. Was going to get a Mach E Premium, but felt more comfortable going with a Tesla since they've been making the electrics longer. Should be picking up the Model Y Long Range this week.

Bought a Certified Preowned 2021 Hyundai Tucson a couple of weeks ago, trading in our 2011 Mazda CX-7 that we used the whole time we lived in Mexico. It is the "value" trim, but has way more options and features than the Mazda. I'm really loving everything about the Hyundai so far!

one of these please...

They really load up those vehicles! My parents have enjoyed them!

I have the Kia version and really like it.

Finalizing a buy of a 2021 telluride ex, 30k miles. Couldn't budge them on price, got a smidge more than initial offer for the trade, but the wife is happy

I think the first deal that fell through set an unrealistic floor haha but glad to be done shopping, I couldn't bank on that dealership coming back to me with anything good soon.
