I agree with this completely. Depending on the team (I'm sure MANY are below 50% success rate), if you go for it every single time, you may end up ahead--then the analytics make sense. Down 8 in the 4th on the road, I don't get it. You have a 40+% chance of missing it versus, what, a 5% chance of missing the PAT? And if you miss, you give yourself a much bigger hill to climb.
