I’d argue that the 7 wood is more versatile than a similar utility iron, maybe I’m crazy. For me, the 7 wood is better from the rough, and easier to hold greens on long approaches. I think the only time I’d prefer the Utility is if I’m into the wind and really trying to keep the shot down...
I think so, there are so many more versatile options. I think the growing popularity of the 7 wood, coupled with the tech advances in standard set long irons has made the utility extremely situational.
Similar to what you said, I began only using them off of the tee due to the low launch and...
Yeah, why not? I bought my wife an X-act Tank chipper a few years ago, and it was fun to mess around with that thing!
It would be fun to have an excuse to throw another putter cover in the bag!
zero torque putter? No, I’ve tried them before years ago and I didn’t notice an improvement.
Driver? Absolutely, In fact I just upgraded this winter and the difference in forgiveness has been a confidence booster.
I have had my old sonicare for 20+ years and love it. My wife found it too aggressive, and bought a quip. I have tried it, but I don’t feel like my teeth get quite as clean, as it is very soft. To each their own though.
“forgiveness in whatever form”
I’ll pick irons, and I’ll assume forgiveness would mean easier to launch, larger sweet spot etc. In my opinion (anyone please correct me if I’m wrong) but there are certain trade offs that come with this forgiveness… such as lower spin numbers, and the irons not...
Great article! It was interesting to hear Sean say that through milling they can achieve a more perfectly flat surface! I wonder what impact milling has on distance control as well. IE if all other things were equal, would a putter with deeper milling putt balls longer or shorter when compared...
Eh, I could take or leave the 14-way divider. I currently have an old OGIO Machu bag, but that thing is a behemoth (maybe partly because I over-stuff it.)
I think my next cart bag will be a smaller, 5-way divider, as @JB has mentioned (numerous time ;)) I could see shaving off a few seconds...
