Same here! I've been through multiple putter fittings over the years and they were all a little different. None of them helped with the yips though. Tried a bunch of zero torque putters and only one was consistently rolling it straight, so I went with the DF3 late last season. After the initial...
The irons in my bag right now, the Ai200s. Going back to sets over the years, I'd say PING i20s. Probably some nostalgia there, but the only set I ever regretted moving on from.
Curious to try these. CS is usually my go to, but I've dabbled with the CT in the past when my swing was in a good place and saw some really good results. Starting my offseason lessons tomorrow (my swing is a dumpster fire right now), and once I'm in a more reasonable place will grab a couple of...
I agree with Hawk's sentiment but I think we're in the minority on this one. OEMs are targeting the masses with the yearly lineup naming. Folks here are more educated on equipment than the vast majority of golfers, who will match their driver & FWs/hybrids, even irons sometimes, when they...
After moving and playing with significantly more older golfers. TEE woods/FWs and PXG (maybe due to veteran discounts?) are the only things that stick out as something I see more of now than I used to. Most of them just play older clubs from the major OEMs.
While I'd love to make this one, it's the weekend of my move to VB so I'm out. Keep me on the list for other meetups though!
I know that a bunch of courses have been mentioned, but @golfinnut was right about Rock Harbor. Great course that's always in good condition, plus 36 holes makes it...
Iron striking slid a bit this weekend and my scores suffered for it. When I put a good swing on it, my irons are spectacular and I did manage to hit a few great shots so it's definitely the indian.
Square to the tee box on most courses I play around here. It's usually in the general direction of the fairway, but not always the best line for your tee ball. Tee markers on the course don't bother me too bad one way or the other, so not an issue on the courses I've played but also haven't seen...
Nice. I know you're a higher speed player than I am so I'm sure you picked a shaft you knew. I went with a 60g Charcoal to try and match the 50g driver shaft. Latest fitting says I need to be squarely in the 70g range for FWs, so I may tinker with that a bit.
This is how I'm playing mine now. -1/D as I definitely need the help taming the fade some days. I also put the heavy weight forward. I am not the world's best ball striker, but in the stock config this club just wanted to launch the ball super high. Current settings I still get plenty of height...
I have the 12oz can colster but it's mostly relegated to my pool bag as beer doesn't usually last that long for me, and honestly if it does, it's flat and cold which is kind of weird. Regular koozies seem to do the trick on the golf course and I have probably 200 in the pantry.
I know you're a...
Ti 3H is a second shot club for me primarily. I will grab it for tee shots on certain holes, or if I just feel like it, but normally my safe tee club is a hybrid. I will say it is a bomber off the tee when you catch one. I find that I get the best results with a lower tee height than I'm used to...
