Premium bags are tough for me. I ordered one of the core Vessel models a couple of years ago. While it looked great, I didn't jive with it and ended up returning it to go with a Callaway bag. Fast forward to this year and I'm gaming a Vessel DXR stand bag, which I've liked so far. Price was a...
Currently 5I for me. A while back I tried a 5H and the line between 4H & 5H seemed to be my point of diminishing returns. Ball went too high and didn't gap well, plus I could still hit a 5I reasonably well, so I stuck with it.
I am absolutely open to the move though as my 5I isn't as...
The X in this line have taken up full time residence in my brain. Just had my first lesson and already seeing some gains, but once I get the swing course ready I'm going to have to go hit these irons. Already seeing some impressive gains in distance, so really curious to see what I can squeeze...
Great write up @Jman, even if my dense brain already read it twice and still needs to read it again to capture all of the details.
These look fantastic first of all. I'm kind of at a loss as to which one would fit me better right now, as my swing is changing quite a bit taking lessons. I've...
I still wore a glove in the sim while I was testing it out. Main reason I grabbed it was for hot/sweaty days. It gets hot in the sim, but this level of assistance isn't usually needed.
Just the normal one I think. Saw it in the PGA show thread and decided to try it out. You can order it off of Amazon too. Stuff is hard to see how much you've poured out but seems to work pretty well!
Still trying to track down a sleeve of the CS & CT. Starting to get my swing back into shape and seeing some more ball speed so definitely want to do some testing. I normally play yellow balls though, so don't want to buy a whole dozen of each just for the sim. Will have to check some courses...
One of these is calling my name. It's a long term quest though, I can't justify the cost right now.
Don't know what your price range is but Seiko just dropped some new chronos. No idea when they'll be available for purchase but they look really nice.
I grabbed a pack of four from amazon I think the year before last? I have two left still. You may be right but I replaced my battery nearly a full year after buying them and it seems solid. Even if they don't have a full charge, enough to get me through the round is better than nothing.
I do...
I see zero issue with this for the reasons stated above. I play in the desert every couple of years and have been lucky enough not to find anything too hateful, but if I had I'm guessing I'd be pissed I didn't think about this first.
Bug spray and sunscreen. I also always try to keep some small bills in the bag in case I need a quick snack or drink. Don't have to worry about the bev cart having connectivity with cash.
Going to be adding Chalkless to the bag this year. Been using it for my sim time since it's always warm in...
I have the same watch and run a navy blue MN strap. Easily my favorite watch so far. It's definitely my default choice for most occasions.
Been really pondering a panda again here lately. My cash reserves are earmarked for golf purchases this time of year, but the new Tudor chronos look awesome.
I historically only use the line when I'm closer to the hole personally, but I've been starting to use it more and more. Really interested to follow along here.
I was using the TruTrack most of last year, and it worked well enough, but I never got fully comfortable with it. Felt like I always...
Out of the entire lineup right now I think this might be the club I want to hit most from Callaway this year. They'll all be hit, but the '25 GD guys have done a great job of talking about these hybrids! I may demo, I may blind buy. 🤷♂️ Time will tell.
Not usually. I haven't found an iron without a no upcharge shaft I couldn't work with. I'm also willing to spend on something that fits me better, which puts me outside the normal golf buyer, but I'm happy to go with a stock offering if it works for my swing.
Having just moved to the beach, albeit not anywhere as far south as you, the only real regret I have about where we chose to purchase is that it's not cart-friendly. I'm sure I'll have options in the future but I have a few friends that live close enough to the oceanfront own a cart and it...
Definitely not a perfect system but in these scenarios I just tip what I'd normally tip. I figure if I've got the cheese to run up a $400 tab, regardless of how we got there, I can afford a good tip if service was good. All that said, everyone is different and there's nothing wrong with that.
I...
