There is another (very douchey) forum that has someone that goes to every single PGA Tour event and gets pics of several players' clubs and does a WITB for them. It is pretty awesome to see what the guys are playing.
I don't get why people get so worked up to play certain golf courses. A golf course is a golf course. I'm just happy to play anywhere, and unless the conditions are absolutely terrible, I'm going to have a good time (as long as the pace isn't slow).
My buddy started doing some Slope Vision crap yesterday. It takes too long. Any method of reading greens that takes longer than 5-10 seconds is too long. If he keeps doing it, I'm going to stop playing with him.
I'm a lefty, and I prefer to miss left. Most of the trouble at my course is down the right side. Nothing worse than setting up to hit a fade off the tee and then the ball doesn't cut and ends up OB to the right, or overdrawing one that also goes too far right. Left is usually still playable.
I saw several times on the WM broadcast the new slogan "Where the best belong". That kinda makes me want to puke a bit. I also thought it was funny that they showed a picture of Brooks right before showing the slogan. Brooks probably still belongs on LIV then, the way he's been playing, because...
Actually, that's not entirely true. I can knock the piss out of a Super Soft. They aren't much shorter than a Pro V1, if any, for me at over 110 MPH. I have no data to back that up, only what I've seen on the course.
My buddy got some cheap arthritic grips off Amazon and I gotta say, I really like the way they feel. I don't have any arthritis in my hands, but they just feel really nice. I might try a few on different clubs just to see how I like them. I never liked the JumboMax stuff.
I actually don't mind a Callaway Super Soft. They go pretty far for me due to the reduction of spin vs a urethane-covered higher-compression ball. But I'd still rather use a Callaway Triple Diamond in its current form.
Eff that. If you play by the rules and kept an accurate score, who gives a s#!t if you played solo? I usually play solo as well, and if I decide to keep a handicap, you can bet your ass I'm going to submit solo rounds. The USGA can eat a bag of d!cks if they don't like it.
