Blade for distance control and mallet for direction. As distance control is currently my biggest putting challenge, blade is in the bag for the foreseeable future.

Went from graphite to Steelfiber and on to steel. Currently using Nippon NS 950 Neos. I find steel more stable in the backswing and more consistent for distance.

I now have the 950s in my Callaway Great Big Berthas. Originally had the 850s but when Callaway had to rebuild then, only had the 950s in stock. I have them in Stiff and I’m in my mid 60s and the best way I can describe them is that they are very stable on the back swing and through transition...
Used these indoors on the monitor in a lesson. The lie is spot on with no heel or toe dragging. Swing needs work but the distance and feel on these is great. We were working on straight and release but even so, well struck 7is were 160+. I’ll try and get a round in soon.

The set needed adjusting 2 up and after discussions with Callaway agreed my local pro would adjust them. Well the first iron didn’t go to plan so back to Callaway with the full set (which came from CPO).
After a bit of checking and testing at Callaway UK, the end result is a brand new set...
Played 18 today, sunny but very wet underfoot…. Using my irons form around 1996 (long story but the new ones arrived today), +6 on the front 9 which was really satisfying as I’m still only playing once a month…. Ran out of steam on the last 6 holes and a few lip outs made for a very enjoyable...
Just had a set of Callaway Great Big Bertha Irons from CPO replaced by Callaway FoC with brand new heads and shafts, but the 950GH Neo in place of the 850GH Neos. They just arrived back in the shop today and I haven’t hit them yet. Will post again when I have had a few swings with them.

is it your lead or trail hip? I had my right (trail) hip replacement about 8 years ago and when I started golf again (about 3 years post op) never noticed anything with the hip. Not the lead hip is going it will be very different I think as the loading is completely different. But, trust the...
i was a serious racquet sports player before taking up golf and even though my swing speed does not warrant a TX I have dabbled with TX in Tensei, Tour AD and Ti-Fiber shafts. Given my inherent desire to control the club head with my right hand, the stiffer the profile the more control I think...
Great advice, I had right hip done about 8 years ago and followed the physio’s advice religiously and had a good and steady recovery. My wife likewise 2 years ago and she was back riding her horse when the physio and surgeon advised. A friend of ours went over the top on exercising etc and...
Recently swapped to the Nippon N.S. PRO 850GH Neo and to me feels like I remember graphite to feel like. Swapped from graphite to Steelfiber and then to steel a couple of years ago.
Time will tell but these feel too smooth for steel…
