Very amusing seeing the vitriol and crying against this rollback. The same questions asked ad nauseam over and over again and failing to understand or ignoring the reason behind this and how little if any effect it will have on them or other amateurs. This aint politics or religion but some of...
The problem with that is eventually you will only need three clubs. Driver, wedge and putter. Yeah its way down the road but may as well start reigning it in now
Then rollback is meant to limit distance by pros so courses dont have to be continually lengthened or made obsolete. Bifurcation was seen as a solution to allow amateurs to continue playing the non limited balls. And for the umpteenth time it will affect amateurs by only a few yards unless they...
The drawback for bifurcation is people like to compare themselves to the pros and use the same equipment etc. That removes that aspect at least as far as balls go. That said i believe its preferable to doing nothing
The rough isnt always a viable option due to weather, course layout, types of grasses etc. When Bryson won the US Open at Winged Foot he was bombing his driver all over the place and hitting wedges in to the Par 4's . He was close enough to the greens where being in the rough wasnt really a...
Oh for cryin out loud! You know the reason. Its been stated many times by myself and others and its in the report. My goodness . Its not a conspiracy theory that you appear to be pushing. LMAO
Well part of it is preserving the integrity of the golf course design. Many long par 4's are designed to be hitting medium to long irons into so the greens are receptive to those types of shots. Hitting a PW instead takes the teeth out of the hole . Right or wrong that is part of this
Yeah the last two PGA tour stops they showed how they had to add tees to make the holes longer. Its dumb. Roll it back baby! Anyone posting here will not be affected noticeably
