I have the OZ1i 2* lean with standard T alignment. I’m left eye dominant and always focus on the front of the putter. It’s funny as I’ve tried the HS but find it strange to look down on in comparison. I think the alignment line coming from the shaft insertion point, in the centre shaft, just...
I always respect club rules. That being said, I wear a hat as a function not fashion. Protection from the sun, peak keeps the rain off my glasses and for warmth when it’s cold. I can’t think of a time when I’ve ever worn a hat inside…..apart from a visit to the Gents in the locker room.
Langer has been winning on professional tours for 45 years which is insane, so I’ll take him for the longevity. Tiger in his prime tho’……different gravy.
Always use a head cover. I’m a little crazy with putters, if there’s a visible ding, at address, it’s getting replaced. I also like a bag with a separate putter well.
I’ve been using black or silver for the last 20 years but just tried my friends LAB Oz in green with white alignment lines and shaft, I was surprised at how good it looks. The alignment just seems to pop…kinda weird, but I liked it a lot.
Left hand, conventional grip, firm like Steve Stricker 7/10, for face control. Right hand, light, probably a 3, for touch/sensitivity for speed control.
I admire it…..but at the same I also wish it was me hitting bombs, and the other guys were watching. I mean, I can almost hear my ball land these days.
Raising strike location will lower spin, or more forward CG. Possible shaft change can also help. Don’t mess with the ball if happy with it in all other departments.
