The loss of on course yardage markers is one of the saddest things about modern golf courses. Having the stakes at known fixed distances gave a lot of perspective on how far things are.
Even with lasers to get exact distance to the flag having the stakes to sanity check would still be helpful.
lol this is a very different direction than where my brain went reading the thread title. I was thinking “golf show” like golf themed tv shows or golf scenes in movies or tv.
The Denver Golf expo was last weekend and I didn’t go. Went once like 13 years ago and didn’t feel motivated to go again.
No doubt it’s gonna be a tough one. In shamble we took him to 17 and my partner was not in play most holes. @xThor beat him in singles. He’s really good at golf but he didn’t run away with his matches.
This is Nick
Played 2 rounds with him at Graybull. That week he was wild off the tee. Dropped down to the driving iron a lot because of it. Distance control with his irons on approach shots was fantastic. If he was in the fairway he was giving himself a lot of good birdie looks.
$40 apparently. I have bought 2 two packs of gloves from Bruce Bolt. They are only used for actual rounds of golf.
For practice I’m wearing Costco Kirkland gloves.
The kiddo is starting to play so we’ve played the par 3 course 3 or 4 times so far this year. I’m expecting to play the par 3 course a couple of times a month this summer.
There’s another executive 9 hole course nearby that I will play a couple of times a year. It has 2 par 4s and 1 par 5. A...
Iron play is the area where I think the benefits are the most obvious. The changes I’ve been working on have very much resulted in having more better birdie looks.
For myself launch and face angle is important. My shot shape is a push draw and I don’t want any draw bias in my driver or fairway woods or I find the ball turning over too much. So in general that means if I’m adjusting loft I have to go down and open the face. So I’m usually looking at a 10.5...
Buying blind I would go 105. Dropping from 120g to 90g might be too big of a weight change to be comfortable. I would go to a store and at least hit a few shots with graphite in that 90g weight class to see if you like the feel. If you can be comfortable with the lighter weight there are...
Scallops if we’re doing appetizers
16oz Sirloin. There were a couple of steaks and the sides were the tie breaker. Prime rib is overrated.
Nut brittle ice cream
Last year when I was doing ball testing I was leaning towards Bridgestone but all of the buy 3 get 1 deals were for mindset balls. It’s just a big ugly blob on the ball.
This is something I need to do. My last laser has given me trust issues. I absolutely under clubbed a shot because I didn’t trust that the new laser actually was hitting the pin. It was absolutely hitting the pin and I’m a dummy.
I love the concept of a food tour of the golf course. Everyone having to buy stuff seems like it’s going to slow down play even more than tournaments already do. Having a fixed price tasting menu built into the price I think would be ideal. Everyone would do small portions with people getting...
