Very valid concern. I have the 150 AW and then go 54, 58. Coming from the Apex Pro 24, the PW was 135, AW was 120, 54 110, and 58 100 and in. Moving to the 150s with the speed and lower lofts PW is now 140, AW 125 (have it 130 when really going after it, which means some 3/4ths with AW to...
Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread! Spent the weekend and read through all 93 pages (being in Nashville with the ice storm, was a great way to pass the time). I am real close to ordering blind and picking up a TD Max with all the great feedback. I have enough trade in and...
Another vote for the Chrome Tour TD here. As mentioned, the driver performance was great, but what really surprised me was the spin on approaches and short wedges. We had a very dry later summer and Fall here in TN, but even with hard greens, never felt there wasn’t enough control/spin to hit...
So if you are looking at TourAim - they have 25% off everything for Black Friday that expires tonight. Highly recommended - ordered a second set after my college golfer son took mine back to school with him in August.
So as a fellow Pro24 player who went to the Ai150s, what was the driver to bend 1* strong? Was the flight a concern?
I only ask as with the already stronger lofts, I am about a club longer through the set and am finding I am hitting AW 125-130 which used to be a 3/4th PW. If anything I was...
So I similar to above - I am seeing around 5500 with a 7 iron which was similar to what I was seeing with Apex Pro 24. Given that these are a bit stronger lofted, and that I have been playing the Chrome Tour TD ball - very happy and they have been very playable.
Watching the Ryder Cup this morning 🤦🏻♂️ and taking a few pictures of the bag. Continue to be impressed by the performance, played them in my member guest two weeks ago and went out and fired a two under par 34 on Friday. Very impressive performance and as someone who was against the chrome...
Having had them in the bag for a month now, and coming from the satin of the Apex Pro, didn't know if I could get over them. Having gamed them for 10+ rounds and our Member Guest, I have no issues now and could actually be described as "king of loving them".
So about a club. Last night, went down and just hit the 7 iron and I was getting between 178 and 185. My previous - Apex Pro 24 7 was around 167-173. Have hit a couple 8 irons from 174 in the wild to pin high.
So updating my initial post - had a chance to play on Friday and Saturday. These things are as advertised - really good! While I am still in the process of figuring out the yardages, I seem to be getting 1 full club more than my Apex 24 Pros, and they are VERY accurate. I know I asked...
So due to a major website launch at work, I haven’t been able to get out with the new irons, but finally got a chance to get an early morning range session in.
Coming from the Apex pro 24 models, first range session with the AI 150 was good and I was seeing what everyone is talking about with...
That is so great to hear and only increases the anticipation to get my set. Loving the reports of the combination of distance and precision. Also great to know that there is an option to weaken and take a bit more of the offset out.
Thanks for this - will be curious to see your stats once you have more rounds in. Can’t wait to get mine in - member guest is a month from today so need to determine if I will put them into play. Given you jumped in feet first for an individual tournament, I think I am going to take your lead.
How are you finding the dispersion - is it similar to the P7CB or T150s? I always worry that with more power, the precision takes a hit but seems they are treating you well?
