The Goal of a Better Tee Game

This is good stuff dude! Love to see the progress. I've said it before, I'll say it again, you with a strong tee game is dangerous stuff! How do strokes gained stack up for you in Shot Scope lately? Curious, because while I show as gaining off the tee vs a 5 HCP, I feel like it's just Shot Scope...

Least dependable aspect of your game so far this year?

Short game, specifically bunker play, followed closely by approaches inside 100. It's all gotten better in the last few months, but on the year basis it's definitely no good.

CONTEST The Golf Makeover with Stitch Golf

What a killer contest! Thanks as always to THP, great stuff. Polos: Bergamo Foliage and Mountain Brush Strokes Pants: Heston Five Pocket in Crown Outerwear color: Tough call, but Skyfall probably. Good luck all!

    Titleist TSR Fairway Woods

That makes sense to me, because I was looking at either 7W or the 21* hybrid I got to cover my 220 ish number, while 5i for me is around a 190-195 club. I have the 4i in there now for 200-210 range, but I'm finding it's not as reliable hitting that number as I would like it to be. I put a...

What club(s) are you most excited to try, see, read about currently?

GT driver line. Currently attempting to resist the siren song of setting up a fitting

    Titleist TSR Fairway Woods

So this TSR2 21* hybrid is KILLER. High flight but not ballooning by any means, and this setup doesn't suffer with the same tendency to hook that literally every other hybrid I've owned recently has. It plays in practice exactly like a TSR2 fairway that got hit with a shrink ray - and that is a...

    Keeping Up Energy Levels

Sleep is the answer, of course, as others have said, but I'm not going to beat that dead horse since I know that's WAY easier said than done, and you're working on it. Diet and exercise are the answer for me. When I eat trash, the spike and crash cycle can get rough. And the exercise for me...

THP Handicap Watch & Update Thread

I did it, I got under 8! 7.6 as of today! New handicap PB! It was a goal for me this year to get under 8 and I'm stoked to have made it happen. My best round of the year (based on differential) at a great and new-to-me track on Saturday sealed the deal. It probably won't last as I have my 2nd...

    What did you shoot today?

Had a little mini golf trip over the weekend and thanks to a good tune up lesson on Thursday, I actually showed up for both rounds for once. 38/38 = 76 on Saturday at the Omni Bedford Springs and 39/37 = 76 at Blue Mountain on Sunday. Hit a lot more fairways than I have been, especially...

What has been your most dependable club in 2024…?

Based on Shot Scope data, the only place I gain strokes on a 5 hcp is off the tee, and I hit by far the most tee shots with my Titleist TSR2 driver. So that must be the guy!

    Titleist GT Drivers – GT2, GT3 and GT4

Man you guys are not making it easy to stick with TSR2. Some game changing appears to be happening in here, both in distance and in direction. I know at least 1 is coming from the TSR line and at least 2 are coming from past Titleist drivers. How have you found that change so far? Night...

    The Genuine Handicap

I'll say, in the experiences I've been a part of, it hasn't been a problem. Though I should note that my most recent experiences were not competitive, I was in several back a few years and I don't recall feeling slighted by capping. That being out there, I think having some basis for the...

    RIP Dikembe Mutombo

One of the great ones. Loved watching him with the Sixers back in the day. And the finger wag was iconic. Very sad, had no idea he was sick. RIP to one of the best.

Say something positive about your latest round

My putting sucked and I couldn't hit a fairway to save my life, but I hit a lot of good iron shots.

Holding steady at 8.2. Still a month and a half left to get under 8!!

    What did you shoot today?

39/40 = 79 today in our last league round of the season. 4/14 FW, 8 GIR and 32 putts. Pretty average round for me at the home track honestly. I'm never gonna complain too much about a score starting with a 7, but there were a lot of missed opportunities and 2 three putts, plus the wind made...

    Indian food appreciation post

I would recommend Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, some naan, basmati rice and maybe some samosas if you are totally new to East Asian (i.e. heavily spiced) cuisine. If you're a little more familiar, Jalfrezi, Korma, Rogan Josh and especially Vindaloo will be more aggressively spiced.

LIVE UPDATE THREAD The 2024 Titleist Experience Featuring GT

I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread - it has been a nightmare f*ing week at work - but as a previous Titleist Experience guy, I just wanted to drop in here and give the boys major kudos for absolutely killing the updates and enjoying every moment out there with each other and the...
