Hey @rally-cap . I’m in Aledo too. Split Rail is my favorite. Squaw Creek is close and good too. Whitestone is troublesome. 8 min intervals and constantly backed up. Decent track, but always slow. Pecan Valley in Benbrook has 36, and is really a hidden gem.

Funny, I’m kinda a nerd here on this. I keep a note in my phone called Golf Temperatures. I have written down what worked well for me in the past at various temps. I’ve got a Wind and a No Wind category. Interestingly, I DONT have any records of 40 (or below) with wind!

Leaving it in really helps me judge the distance better. Much more so than just the small cup sight picture. Seems to help me at almost all distances.

We’re in Edinburg. Possibly stuck. Is anyone else here and how are you getting out to the course? Rail strikes and train shutdowns seem to be the big concern. We’ve been told to not take the train to Leuchars. Busses are possible but we’re hearing of gridlocked roads out there. Wondering if...

Everything down here in SW FtW is just as bad. And everyone paints the greens too. But they are still pretty hard and quick.

Does anyone own a 4xe? I test drove two of them and am seriously considering ordering one. But I keep hearing of some problems the 4xe is having.

I’ve been gaming my G25s for 5 yrs now. Every time I start to consider new irons I hit a few miraculous shots with them. They are perfect clubs IMHO.

Flamingo drill. I even teach some to start with the trail toe pointed down and resting on the ground, 99% of weight on the lead leg. Hit a bunch at the range like this.

And opening the clubface also has the net effect of increasing bounce, which allows the clubhead to more easily travel through sand, keeping the speed up, and deliver the appropriate impact to the area thus blasting the ball out.
