How far do you drive to play??

I live virtually beside my home course, 2 minute drive or 10mins walk. But it isn’t a great course and gets extremely wet in winter. A 20min drive would take me to an excellent course that isn’t much more expensive. But I’m not sure I’d use it as much due to the extra travel. How long does it...

    Private vs Public

Just curious how many of y'all are members of a private club? And is it worth it? I'd love to join one, but not sure how much I need to play to really make it worth it. The crazy thing is here around Austin most of the private clubs have a six figure initiation fee to join. Which may be normal...

Golf Memberships - 2022 edition (price hikes)

THP- My club increased our membership dues 40% next year. While still affordable compared to private clubs, I find this quite excessive. We have 125 members, +40 on a waiting list. How is your club handling next year's membership offerings? Any big changes?

    Golf Club Member Tournaments/Events

Who has a club tournament coming up? Thought this could be a fun place to put upcoming events and talk formats, likes/dislikes.

    Los Angeles Young Executive Memberships?

THPers, Does anyone have any experience with young exec memberships in LA? Highest interest is most likely in Lakeside, maybe Bel Air or Mountaingate. I have some friends at Wilshire so that might be an option as well. Thanks in advance

1 year memberships pros and cons

I'm looking at options for next season and I'm thinking about getting an annual membership. The cost is $3200 for unlimited golf for 1 season. Here is where my dilemma comes with the location I would only be able to play about around 48 times (weekend only). Each round at this place is 90 bucks...

I am a little sad. My membership is up and i am not renewing

I had a great deal for a year. $59.00 a month Twilight membership. It was great. I played as much as I wanted during the twilight times. It just expired and I am not renewing because they had a big rate increase, and mostly I am not renewing because of Job commitments. But it was a great ride...

To buy a membership or not...that is the question.

Ok - a little background to start: I'm just getting back into the sport after about a 8-9yr hiatus. Before that I only played casually (less than a dozen times per year). Last year was my first year back and I wanted to play every chance I got. Golf is going to be my hobby for the...

    Quit my membership today...

Tired of poor course conditions. Tired of poor management. Tired of the variety of uninvited people(trespassers & homeowners sneaking practice) on the course. Tired after almost 17 years of playing there & 3 memberships. When I first played there, it was my treat-a high end round of $46! Back...

    Country Clubs

If this is already in another thread, I apologize and would appreciate anyone who could let me know which one it is! But I just have a few questions for those who are members of country clubs. I'm still in college but am hoping to be able to join a club at some point after I graduate, whether it...
