With the season over and a week to go before the next season kicks off I thought it would be a good time to get THPers thoughts on a few things from the last year of PGA Tour golf.
1. Your player of the year?
2. Your Tournament/Event of the year?
3. Your moment of the year?
4. Best shot of the year?
5. Surprise of the year?
6. Rookie of the year?
7. Disappointment of the year?
Lots of places to take these.
Here are mine:
1. Player - DJ, with Rory a second after the way he played in the playoffs.
2. The Open - Stenson and Phil lapping the field and giving a showdown that will be remembered for years.
3. For me the Arnold Palmer memorial service. Kuch winning the Bronze medal in the Olympics would be my second place choice.
4. DJ on 18 at the US Open. Exclamation point on a great round despite the USGA hubbub.
5. Spieth's 12th hole on Sunday at Augusta. Cruising towards back to back green jackets, and then unexpectedly dunking two balls.
6. Grillo - just a great season and fun to watch. Think he'll be around a while.
7. The so called "new big three" not winning a major. After last season I thought we'd be primed for a major win by Day or Spieth or Rory.
