I'd Rather Be At The Hideaway
I think I'm going to buy one if I can find it and pop it in my V2.
That would be very cool Hawk. I think that could be a wicked combo.

They are a good testing set for me since they are somewhat similar to the 588's.
I have loved following the progression of your game in the last year. Would love to see the 588's make your bag.
Thanks man. I think we're all going to have some pretty awesome bags in a short while. I've got almost everything figured out, but iron shafts are still hanging out there.

You are right about the bags. I smile everytime I think about the MC. I am in the same boat. Think I am all set other than the iron shafts.
I'm in the same boat. I did an optimizer again and this time PX 5.0 and KBS Tour S came up. Last time it was 5.5 and KBS Tour. So now I may be leaning KBS Tour. Who the heck knows. Whenever that message comes from the tour rep though I will be ready.
My trust of the Shaft Optimizer is fading. The PX 5.0 and KBS Tour S seem to be very different shafts. I know I have used it a couple times and have very different results.
My SS was a touch lower the 2nd time around, from 84-85 to 82-83 on it so I can understand going down in the PX. But it made me think that perhaps the KBS would work better because it would work within that range.
I would agree. It seems the KBS Tour fits a wide range of golfers. Great feel as well.

Look at me and Tmex dropping Lee Westwood like knowledge bombs at the same time!
If I were to game PXi's, I'd probably get the 5.5's. I like that it's a Stiff flex and I like that it's 108grams.
I think Tempo plays a huge role. You just have to trust that it knows the different shaft combos and how the player loads the shaft. I think sometimes people forget how stiff the PX plays. I was kinda surprised to fit into a PX 5.0 but it was a huge difference. I actually felt the shaft load on everyshot and not jsut when i swung really agressive. I'm definitely not arguing and will probably go to another shaft (Modus) but its got a method to its madness. I think more than anything it gives you a good range of shafts to try.
You all have lost me. We have Chunky over there with his 5.7's and then you two are talking 5.5's like the 6.0 is something crazy. Not that I don't believe you guys. It's just confusing.

LOL, I think chunky ended up w/ 6.0's b/c he couldn't get them in the 5.5's. He did all he could do in soft stepping them. I think I could handle the 6.0's but I want something that shares a similar profile to other "stiff" flexes I have experience with, and that would be the 5.5's.
That makes sense. Man it sure would be easier if things were more uniform.
wasn't this way supposed to be easier, with the 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 etc. I think it's more confusing!
Well, it wouldn't be confusing if everybody did it. Or if I just had a basement full of iron shafts to try out.
