My wife is making everything for the first time for the entire family. Can’t wait to post pics. She had prepping this stuff for two days.

To all my new family, THP. Happy Thanksgiving! Bless you and your immediate families and all those serving around the world in the Military. Remember to keep their families and Spouses in your thoughts keeping it all together while The other is gone for months and sometimes years at a time. Say a prayer for them all when you are being thankful for yours. I will post a pic of the feast later for my vegetarian comrades.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Tasty waffle breakfast, playing outside in the wintry mix with the kiddos, and getting the kitchen fired up for this afternoon. Enjoy!
 
Happy Thanksgiving THP! Pies (cheesecakes really) are done, Turkey is waiting for rub, and bread is in the oven for stuffing. Can’t wait to see it all come together!

So this year, brined the bird and trying something different. Mixed olive oil mayo with some honey garlic rub and a generous amount of fresh chopped sage, thyme, and rosemary. Rubbed the bird all over and under skin with the mayo and stuffed it with cut lemons, onion, and more fresh herbs.

I’m going to Smoke/roast it on the Big Green Egg with a drip pan below with some white wine, chicken stock, garlic, and bay leaves in it for gravy.

Prep for cornbread stuffing. Putting the wet brine down the sink and the pipe from disposal to p trap came loose. Turkey juices everywhere. Long morning today.
