2020 Bridgestone Tour B Golf Balls

3 different golf stores, none of them have the new ball. Was told in another 2 weeks to a month. Unreal these managers do not know how to order stock at all.
I live in a smaller town. Only two real places to get golf gear. Our golf course and a sporting goods store. I know one of the managers at the sporting goods store. Texted him asking if they had the new balls and he sent me a picture of the 2018 ball asking if that is what I was talking about. Said they all look the same to him  So depending on who is in charge of ordering stock, I am never surprised anymore when we get things wayyyyy past release date. Obviously not an actual golf store, I'm just meaning that nothing surprises me anymore with where I live lol

That’s rough when the golf course does not know about them. Sporting good store depending on if they have a dedicated golf department.
This ones was golf town and a local course here which did not know. He first showed me last years model and I asked if he that was the one I’m looking for. Horrible when your staff does not know about products. Not the first time it happened as well.

72 holes now on this 2020 Tour B RX, playing it again tomorrow. Still in great shape. Shot 7 over in the cold today and it just fits me perfect. Long off the tee and great with the wedges.

I played around with the new RX today on some empty greens (too cold to play), I can confirm the spin skin is for real. There is one thing puzzling though, for those that have the BX or the BXS those look have the dual dimple more pronounced than the RX. I compared my older BXS and even those have a pronounced dual dimple. Don't know what that means if anything, just an observation. I didn't hit any drives just wedges and it was pretty much a drop and stick. Its very obvious the spin skin works.
Very keen eye. We made some slight adjustments on on the dimples on the 2020 versions for enhanced aerodynamics. (Our Pros, specifically Tiger and Bryson, have stated that they flight straighter than the previous versions) The X & XS have completely different dimple designs than the RX & RXS based on the playing characteristics of the balls. The construction is different between the under 105 and over 105 balls, so there is always customized features built into the balls.

Love this feedback/explanation.

I ended up fitting into the the BX via VFIT on my old driver before the Cobra Speedzone fit. SS at 110 mph and 2800 rpm with 156mph ball speed. Ended up at 165-166 mph and lower ball spin so still shout be a great match.

At least you have a sporting goods store:D

I thought this was done last generation....
X & XS remained 330 but RX/RXS went to 338 ? Or some combo hence the name change from B330 to B series balls .....I could be wrong

They went through even MORE modifications for the 2020 versions. You are spot on with the dimple changes mentioned as well.

Yeah , I don't care what anyone else says....the reactiv cover works infinitely better than previous gen in regards to spin....the RX was easily built with me in mind!?

A friend gave me a new RXS today that had a collision with a cart path during his last round. The scuff was definitely visible on the cover but the cover roughness that occurs with other balls after they hit a cart path was not there.

Played 18 with it today and did not note any I'll effects caused by the scuff. As I mentioned before in this thread, I was not a big fan of all previous versions of the RXS that I had tried. I felt they were too soft and lost a measurable amount of distance in comparison to the RX. In my opinion, both of those perceived deficiencies on my behalf no longer exist with the new version and it is a ball that I can certainly game with confidence.

I got a dozen of the 2020 RXS on Amazon. Didn’t want to see if or when the local Dick’s would have them.

So far, I have hit the RXS, RX and XS. It has been very cold each time and the courses are extremely muddy, so it is difficult to say which I prefer, however, with a gun to my head right now, I say the RX in yellow. I played it for 18 holes today. Even having hit two trees, the ball looks virtually new, so the durability is there. The spin into the green was excellent on both full shots and partial wedge shots. The spin appeared to be at my optimal rates on driver. The ball is very straight. Finally, it feels great off the putter.

The one question I still have is distance and I won’t be able to gauge that until it warms up a little more than the 45* weather I played in today.

Awesome feedback - durability is fantastic

Going to take the RX and old RXS out tomorrow for some fun.

Didnt really get to do much with any of the Tour B balls today. Course conditions were way to wet from tee to green to be able to make any significant comparisons. I just played some with the XS and the previous XS. The new XS definitely seems to be more durable and flies straighter based on my contact today.

I hope to play the 2020 XRS and the XS tomorrow.

Let me know about the RXS

Let me know how the RXS performs,

Played my first round of the year with the RX. Loved it. I need to work out a few things in my swing (played a scramble and lost 5 balls ?) but for my first round in 18 months, this definitely felt like a ball I could game all year. Well struck shots felt and flew desirably. Spin onto the green was impressive. I really really enjoyed putting with it.

I’ve got 2 dozen ERC waiting on me, and some chrome soft, but I definitely plan on buying some more RX this year.

Took a look at several stores today and was able to finally find them in stock. Grabbed a box of the X and XS for testing. Given how cold it is up here maybe the RX and RXS would have been better. Nonetheless cant wait to get these on the course.

Sad day today, lost the Tour B RX on it’s 82th hole. :(

Good news later hit a 80 yard wedge shot with my 58* and it sucked back 2 yards for a gimme birdie. This new cover is legit, I never spun back the older RX. I’m a believer in this ball.
