As a 49er fan, I’m still in mourning about Buckner. I’m not sure people outside of SF know how good he is...

Us colts fans can’t wait to find out . I hate the rivers signing honestly just a very temporary fix, but I honestly think rivers can’t compete at a playoff level anymore. That’s gonna be a wasted 25 mil but only for 1 year so can’t be too mad. But I love the Buckner move we have an early 2 rounder to replace the 13th pick we lost. Really need to snag another wide out in this deep draft. Anyone else think the patriots are gonna find a way to trade up for tua and be good again? Cause I’m always worried belli-cheat.....I mean Belichick will find a way to keep the pats competing.

Versatile backup OL Joe Haeg is signing in Tampa Bay. Solid depth guy.

I agree on the Rivers signing, I honestly think he’s as washed up as Eli was and he needs to hang up the cleats and retire. I’m just impressed he was able to fleece a team for $25 million.

I disagree big time... I did not love the signing at all, but if he has an offensive line in front of him, he will be fine. I think we need to address the WR position, but I actually think PR will succeed. Take a look at his stats back in 2018... he led them to 12-4, 32TD, 12INTs and 4300 yards.

He will need time in the pocket and he will now have arguably the best offensive line in the league in front of him. It also helps that he is REALLY familiar with Reich and Sirianni's system.

We'll see how it plays out, two years is an eternity in the NFL. He looked absolutely awful last year in terms of decision-making and arm strength, and he's been moving around in quick sand the past few years when trying to get outside of the pocket. I hope you're right because I think he's a good guy and deserves another playoff run, I'm just skeptical based on what I saw over the past 12 months.

While I agree, he was bad bad last year. Take a look at the time he had to throw as well. That plays a big factor. He will be able to stand in the pocket and climb it with this OL. Further, I would expect them to run the heck out of it too.

Philip Rivers is literally my least favorite player to ever put on a football uniform, but the signing made all of the sense in the world for the Colts. Short term, still draft his future replacement and they can move the freak on from Jacoby Brissett who was scared to death to pull the trigger.

The price of Bucs season tickets are going up. I’m scheduled to be in Tampa 2 or 3 times this fall and may try to catch a game. The Bucs weren’t scheduled or were away when I was there last fall.

I saw this morning they "had" to raise the price of tickets 15% because of the demand. That makes no sense to me as far as HAD to do it, but makes sense to me as far as wanted to do it. I get that prices have been dropped year after year because no one was buying tickets, but HAD seems like a poor choice of words to me.

What the Bucs needs to do is get some help with their O-line so they don't get Brady killed.

Do people really want to pay a lot to see a QB at the end of his career? Looking at the numbers he wasn't good last year. Does anyone actually believe he can take the Bucs past the first round of the playoffs?

Apparently. I saw a statement yesterday that ticket sales were flooding in, they couldn't keep up with the calls.

Not a trademark of a Bruce Arians offense.

That's somewhat shocking to me. I do believe they should be a playoff contender with those weapons but don't see them getting past the top few teams.

Here is a link to the full article, but below is a small piece to show the impact:

The Brady effect was immediate Tuesday night. Within an hour of news that Brady was heading to Tampa Bay, the queue on Ticketmaster’s Bucs season-ticket landing page was nearly 7,000 people deep. The Bucs don’t release their season ticket numbers, but the team acknowledged it had an unprecedented amount of traffic on the Ticketmaster system that evening.

The team raised season ticket prices for new plan holders about 15 percent this week. The team would not confirm that any price increase correlated with the Brady news, but for the past three seasons, the team has used some form of dynamic pricing — in which prices are determined by demand, similar to airlines and hotels, with premier games costing a premium.

The interest on the third-party ticket market grew as well.

Andrew Gretchko, a digital public relations specialist for Vivid Seats, said the site’s Bucs page ranked first among NFL team sites and third on the entire site in web traffic Tuesday and Wednesday. The site’s Bucs landing page saw a 4540 percent increase Tuesday compared to the same date last year.

Lol all those new englander snow birds buying in when they couldn’t afford pats tickets in new England

Sanzabar I sure hope you are right. I agree that it’s unfair to judge rivers behind that o-line, they were bad. The colts line is a lot better, and the last time Rivers and Reich were together they set the league on fire. However I agree with bucknasty. 2 years is forever in this league, just ask Todd gurley. Rivers is 38 and what worries me is his throwing motion is not fundamentally sound at all. Shotputs all of his throws, and he’s a gun slinger. Loves to air it out. What the colts don’t need is someone who is gonna give the ball to the other team 25 times like he did last year. That’s why Anthony Lynn let him go. Every chargers game I watched last year when it came to make a tight throw in a big spot he left it short or behind the receiver. And honestly as it currently stands I think the Chargers had better receivers than the colts currently do. It’s not a horrible risk for only 1 year but I think the colts should have pushed hard for a trade for Stafford or Andy dalton even. I would have even preferred to give jacoby another year. The colts are young, but to waste years in their prime when they could have even picked someone in this draft to get acclimated with some reps would have been better than to waste it on rivers and maybe a wildcard spot. Even though Houston screwing themselves will help us out:p if Phil proves me wrong I’ll buy each of his 17 kids something next Christmas lol

The only thing that stood out in all of this... you are willing to give Jacoby another year?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Also, lets not forget they have 2 2nd round picks. They can get back in the 1st if they believe their QB is there. Trading away 13 made me believe they did not see their guy that they needed to pick at 13. Well, getting Buckner probably helped.

I still think Jordan Love, Jalen Hurts, Jacob Eason and Anthony Gordon could be options.

Trust me, sticking with jacoby was as low as you could get with best options for the colts  I just thinking getting rivers was the worst scenario possible, and goes against everything Chris Ballard has been doing over the past couple years. But I would love to get jalen hurts with that second 2nd rounder if he was there I think that’s great value and would be a solid backup if they found better or if Andrew somehow came to his senses. Why did Andrew have to do this to us

Steelers obtain DE Chris Wormley from the Poe-Birds in an exchange of 2021 draft picks. Makes up for loss of Javon Hargrave.

Also sign TE Eric Ebron in a 2year, $12 million deal. Shores up a glaring weakness.

Yesterday, signed Stefen Wisniewski for needed OL depth with FA departures and retirement of G Ramon Foster.

In addition, Ben reports he is throwing pain-free for the first time in several years. I take Ben's health assessments skeptically, but an encouraging sign.

Watching the Peyton’s Place with Manning and Brady. They are hitting golf balls and Peyton picks up the club and says “these must be Baker Mayfield’s clubs, they are so short”. Hahahah

I watched that for the first time the other day. That episode was freaking fantastic.

We just finally finished all of them. Absolutely great series, but that had me cracking up.

The Panthers are trading Kyle Allen to the Redskins for a 5th rd pick.
