CONTEST 2020 Thanksgiving Feast Giveaway

Everyone else likes fresh cranberry stuff, except me. I love it out of the can, although this year my wife found some in a can with actual crans floating in it. It was a good compromise.

I make a homemade cranberry sauce, but I must admit I love the stuff out of the can too.

A little dessert, homemade Yule log and apple crumb pie

We just finished up round 2 of eating. Time to move to the couch, and pumpkin pie later tonight.

Started the Thanksgiving feast with an everything bagel. Homemade Italian wedding soup as an appetizer and then the main course!

Just me and the wife this year, so we went really light on the sides. Here's my first plate, excuse the abundance of black pepper, but I just can't help myself.

... actually it wasn't just me and the wife, our dog Kai got a special dinner too. Turkey, rice, sweet potatoes, and chicken broth.

Food was amazing. Both styles of turkey were great. Roasted on left and smoked on right with a nice smoke ring, was more present on thigh than on the breast. Didn't get any other pics of fixings, too much going on once the bird was done and everyone hungry to dig in. :ROFLMAO:

It's always just my wife and I. I can't cook to save my soul, so it's a lot of work for her for just the two of us, and she's not all that fond of turkey in the first place. So we decided to do something completely different this year. Found out a nearby restaurant was having a top chef from one of the better restaurants in the area make Thanksgiving dinners, with all the fixin's, to go.

I think next year, if we do this again, we'll at least move the stuff to real plates :ROFLMAO:

They did well, though. It was actually darn near as tasty as my wife makes. I'm still stuffed.

Sure made the cleanup, my job, a lot easier, too :)

We didn't get the dinner table out of the moving truck before the rain started, so we had to improvise with an ottoman. :confused2:

A little ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and rolls. Pumpkin pies are on deck.

It was a little hectic without a double oven this year. We may need to look into those spreadsheets next time.
