Excluding my poor performance at the GOAT Cup, I have thoroughly enjoyed playing the 2022 CS Triple Track these past few months. I have scored my 3 lowest scores of the past 3 years with the CS and I attribute a lot of that to this ball. Love what I am seeing from a greenside spin perspective, and I'm a huge fan of the feel of this ball off the putter which has helped my speed and distance control on the greens. Triple Track has also helped me get the ball started on the correct line (or at least what I think is the correct line haha).

@vgolfman I asked this in the live stream but is there any data to show the "strokes gained" for using a Triple Track?

Good question, but would be entirely player specific. For example, we would need to know you make rate and proximity to the hole on misses from a certain distance or distances with and without Triple Track. Preferably over a period of time rather than just one session. We have data, and published some of it, on how Triple Track helps players but Strokes Gained would need to be for a player. If you use Arccos, or 18birdies or Shot Scope of one of the other on-course data collection apps, you could do this yourself. Play 8 rounds, or something similar to have enough putts/distance variance, alternating one round with Triple Track and then the next without, back and forth, and then compare. Hope that helps.

I think I’m going to switch to using triple track only inside of the 15-20 feet range and not outside of that and see how it goes.

Posted in the Rogue thread but this was my best drive of the entire year. Yellow CSX LS. There’s no reason for me to mess with another ball this season. Unreal distance off of the tee the last couple weeks now that I’ve committed to the LS

Alrighty. Did a real fun session today testing out each of the 2022 Chrome Soft models.

To do this, I chose 4 clubs, and hit ~5 shots with each ball using that club. I’m not a super consistent hitter, so I did have a few bad shots here and there that were excluded, but anything close to decent was included even if a miss hit.

Clubs used:
- Callaway Jaws Raw 56* with MMT 105s
- Callaway Apex Black 7 iron with MMT 85r
- Callaway Utility Wood 21* with Fujikura Ventus Velocore Red 7s
- Callaway Rogue ST Max/MaxLS Driver with Mitsubishi Tensei Pro White 1k 50r

Balls Tested (2022 models only):
- Callaway Chrome Soft
- Callaway Chrome Soft X LS
- Callaway Chrome Soft X

Let’s start with the 56* Jaws Raw

SUMMARY

Interesting results, and it follows along with what I saw on the course.
The CSX LS across the Wedge and Iron, it was high launching and higher spinning, whereas with the UW and Driver was a bit lower launching but also less spinning.
The CS continues to feel very soft and pleasant, but a bit too much spin and height.
CSX felt great, but at times could spin too much and was a bit more erratic.

Overall, I feel like the Chrome Soft X LS is back to being my gamer ball. It seemed to check off all of the boxes that I am hoping for. Consistency, spin when I need it, and forgiveness.

After spending a lot of time the last few days I’m going to make a change and only use triple track inside of around 15 feet. Outside of that going to flip it over to the all white side and try and focus more on pace.

Back to playing the CSX LS full time has been excellent. Plenty of spin to even hold the recently punched greens, but piercing drives off the tee. Only lost 1 ball Friday, on hole 16, and played the same ball the entire round yesterday.

Played the X yesterday. It's a good fit off the tee, but in a day I was standing up a bit I spun a couple short irons more than I would want. They had watered the greens and they were surprisingly soft. Lots of fun in partial wedges.
