Hit my buddy's KTX on the range the other day. He has them +.5" with LA Golf L Series Stiff shafts. Never used anything from LA before, nor have I played with a shaft that's longer than standard. They felt like they were made for me on the range. First swing was an 8i that felt like butter and flew well past the 150 marker. Proceeded to middle 6 in a row. Then, promptly handed them back because my wallet was sweating. My iron game has been an absolute dumpster fire all year and this has me contemplating a shaft change for my Hot Metals now. I choke down a bit naturally without realizing I'm doing it, so I think the extra half inch put the head where it's actually supposed to be in relation to the ball. Height was a little lower and flatter than I'm used to seeing, but still easily playable. Some of that is probably due to loft and a stiffer shaft profile, as well as crappy range balls. I didn't really get to test the forgiveness because I hit them so well, but I came away impressed despite the small sample size.
