2024 Mitsubishi Diamana BB Shaft – Blue Board is Back

At some point this year I will probably look around for another BB is the 43S for my mini driver. The BB is so good in my GT3 I think it is worth exploring in the mini.

Funny enough I think I prefer the BB profile, but the 2 Diamana shafts I have are a WB and RB. WB in the 7w has been lovely. The RB is tipped an inch and just a bit too stout for me as a driver shaft, but really thinking it might make a good mini driver option.

The RB is great I agree I have a 63S here in the house. I like the lighter weight in the driver or I would cut it down and try it. The Diamana line is just exceptional with all of the choices they have.

Big facts, the three models and the TONS of weight options are pretty darn killer.

Testing out new fairway woods and fitter put in a BB in. What a great shaft in the TM fairway I was testing. I have a Ventus Blue in my driver and love it so the “blue shafts or mid/mid“ fit me well. Going to do more testing but this might be my next purchase. Ball speeds were faster and the gel was so smooth but with a slight kick at impact. A little different feel than the Ventus but both great.

I am thinking of taking the Mitsubishi TB shaft I got and trimming it to go in my 3w and replace that stock shaft. Mark at Mitsubishi was saying it is pretty similar to the BB so that might be a better fit for me.

Been eyeballing the BB shaft for a while ... the smooth profile really appeals to me. Anyone using it or have tried it: What are the pros and cons?

Only in Sim with TM fairways. Excellent feel and numbers. Need some more testing against others.

I want to test BB in other fairway heads and see if there is a difference in a slightly heavier head and possibly BB feeling too soft. Overall really impressed with my first round of fitting and testing.

The BB is stiff without feeling like it is. I have the S flex and have hit an X as well and could honestly play either. My swing speed is likely topping out around 104 right now.
I try to put a smooth transition on the shaft, but it really doesn't seem to care. The folks at Mitsubishi have it figured out. It is almost like the Chinese finger cuffs. The harder you swing, the more the shaft tightens up. Meaning it can handle whatever I can throw at it.

I read somewhere that some people are losing a bit of distance compared to their other shafts. Have you noticed that?

I don't think so.
Age, sure, the shaft, I don't think so.

Only if it wasn’t optimal for their swing. Nothing at all about the shaft that is short.

A lot of variables could impact this so hard to answer.

I hit the longest drives I have with the BB 43S in my driver. This whole thread is full of people that use them. If the shaft works for you there is no distance loss at all.

Everytime I hit drives like I did today I am thankful i was able to go to the Diamana exp! I LOVE the BB and I seriously might have never tried it out. There is really zero reason for me to look at any other driver shafts it just works so good for me.
