Gonna take my BB up next week to retip it for my Qi4D and cut it down slightly so it plays around 45.5” and see how it goes. Getting a little speed and feel back. Who knows.

The new BB 43S in the GT280 mini is really good. I hit more draws today with that club than ever before. Still getting the Trajectory I like and my distance with range balls at 55* this morning was averaging just shy of 250. I did my coach's challenge again of 10 balls with a 50 foot limit on each side of the pin as a grid to stay in. I went 8-10. A few of those were just over 200 but right where I wanted them. I tend to tense up the arms as I get deeper in the challenge lol. The BB is such a good fit for my swing I am glad I made the switch into the MD.

First round is complete with the new BB 43S in my mini driver. This shaft made that club even better. While I hit the old set up well the BB has tightened up the feel and I nuked some tee shots yesterday. The best shot off of the tee was on 17 which you need to hug the left side of the FW. If you can carry to the hill which is about 250 you can get a nice rollout leaving you a 50-70 yard wedge in. I easily carried over and my total drive according to the cart GPS was 305. I had a nice 6o yard shot to the pin. I have never been that far down before.

We had a little time to kill while waiting on a par 5 and after I hit my 7wood up I was asked why I didn’t use my mini driver. I had tried a few times and it was just not a shot that got high or went anywhere. We threw a ball down to try out the new BB and see if it helped the off the deck shot. I flushed it and left the ball about 20 yards in front of the green dead center FW. I might have to dig into that shot more as I never elevated the ball like that with the old set up. It was really fun to see that result.

Heading out to play at 11:30 and there will be some opportunity to use the new setup again today!

Picked up my BB 53 S today after getting it retooled to my Qi4D and trimmed down to 45” playing length. First drive in a sim round was like 260 dead straight and smooooooth. I think this will work.

Yeah. It's been so good in my GT/TSr2 heads and now, the Qi4D as well. I have a WB 53S that I might retip...just can't decide if it's gonna be for TM or Titleist... probably Titleist

I'm late to the party but I bought a used Quantum TD Max that happened to have a BB 63X in it. I'm waiting for some weights so I can get it properly swingweighted, but I am looking forward to seeing what this shaft is all about. I've heard nothing but good things.

Describe your swing.

Mine, when I can remember and control my mind is a smooth and slow takeaway, slight pause at the top and unleash the fury (all the fury I have anyway), with a good amount of lag.

I have the 73S shaft and have hit an X when @SkiBumGolfer was in town (single swing) that certainly felt like I could game that version as well. It seems like a soft X depending on the swing you have. The shaft just likes to get "loaded" and has a smooth kick to it.

My swing doesn't sound all that different from yours, to be honest. I tend to be pretty smooth and get most of my speed with lag and don't have an overly aggressive transition. I've had success with blue profiles in the past, namely Ventus (all 3 blue models), and multiple iterations of Tensei. On paper, the Blueboard should be right in my wheelhouse.

Yep, sounds like a good match, as long as the launch also matches what you are looking for.

I'd adjust the loft on the head or make a ball change before I'd look at shaft to change my launch. I just want to be able to time it to find the center of the face and I'll go from there.

Cut my BB to 44 and added a Titleist adapter. Will test within a day or two 🏌️‍♂️

Sometimes you get to something really good as soon as you can. That's the BB53S in my JPX One driver for me now. The 1K Blue in my GT2 was a really good fit for me and is what I started with in the One. Through happenstance, I got a swing with a BB63S in the One and liked what I saw. Stone cold after a day behind the desk, no warm up swings, and slick bottom shoes, I hit this one:

I really liked the shaft but had sticker shock. I’d never paid full boat retail for an aftermarket driver shaft. Initially, I moved on but I kept coming back to this shot and how smooth the shaft felt. Eventually, I decided to pull the trigger on it but went with the 53. The shaft and head combo is the best I can remember playing. On course, I'm seeing a higher % of fairways hit and a higher flight that is on par with what I saw with the GT2 with 1K Blue or Newton Fast Motion. On average drives, I'm hitting about a half club less on approach than with the GT2 with the Fast Motion.

I've thought about adding BBs to my fairway metals but am having a difficult time with that decision just because of how little I hit them at my course.

If you get along with the classic blue profile and get a chance to hit the BB, do it.

That is a great result @Parrot! I love the Mitsubishi line of shafts and the BB is my favorite out of them.

Ordered a heavier weight for the Quantum TD Max a month ago and it came in today so I can take my BB 63X out on the course finally. Just in time too because I have a tee time in about 50 minutes. It's playing at 44.75" which is a bit shorter than the 45.5" Aretera I've been playing. Hopefully it'll keep up with distances but squeeze the dispersion in a bit. Wind is gusting around 30mph so we'll see how it goes. Can't wait!
