Saban literally was set to return the next year. Go read the story if you don’t believe me man. He literally tells the story of why he decided it’s not worth it. He was already planning the next season and his interactions with the players after the playoffs is what made him say I’m out. He literally had Saiyen coming to Bama who transferred to OSU along with Caleb Downs who was also on the roster along w one of the top recruiting classes. I got numerous inside people who will vouch for the story. One of the players (along with some others now gone) that caused him to quit was one of the major transfers who told him Im not listening to you until you fork over a couple million when he came to them to talk about the next season plans to win a championship. Imagine being the most decorated coach and your player tells you to basically screw off to your faceafter a playoff loss when he’s trying to discuss plans to get you a championship until you come with money. Like not even great coach love to hear it and perhaps we can talk about my NIL this year too? Saban said in his interview like really that’s where your mind is right after a crushing loss and I’m here trying help yall get over it?
