Interesting take on this

I prefer the old system where we could believe these were kids playing a sport while getting an education. Maybe it was all a lie. But if we are in a world where young adults have agents, are getting paid real money to play a sport, mostly don't go to school, get to be free agents every year, have zero loyalty to a school...I have zero problem with them being cut, having their pay eliminated/reduced to reflect actual production, etc. It has to be a 2 way street.

Don't know if its true or not...just read it on a CFB site. Why wouldn't a Kentucky or Mizzou go to the Big 12 and immediately compete for conference titles? South Carolina and Vandy would instantly slot into the ACC and compete as well. The better teams they have, the bigger the TV Deals they can get. I guarantee that if the ACC added South Carolina, Vandy, Florida, and another school, their TV Deal would increase. But then again....
It does not seem like this could be remotely true or am I missing something?

Very much so this year. I know Auburn had a lot of players that had very high demands for NIL and hit the portal to see what they could get. Some were told the door was open if they wanted to come back, others the door was closed on.

One in particular thought his value was insane, and based of production was not offered what he thought he was worth. He tested the waters, and signed with... Tulsa.

Feels like pretty quickly the scales were tipped from “well it’s good players can seek opportunities that best suit them even if there are downfalls” to “ok this all feels maybe a bitttttt too dirty now.” I dunno. Good and bad, I guess.

Part of me does too. But the kids should be paid over the table.

The optics of player behavior has changed.

Proof Sam Levitt. He got hurt playing pick up basketball. In the past that was acceptable because kids are competitive. But if you’re being paid $3 million to play football. You can’t act that way mid season.

He did. Got hurt. Craters asu season. Now he’s Sam Shady.

If other reports are true that gets worse. Allegedly planed his exit from asu mid season.

9 games? Wowsers.

It’s just a way to get to “5 years to play 5” without saying it explicitly for legal reasons.

It sounds that UK had the $$$ ready to throw at him and probably could've got him, but decided to go elsewhere.

Unreal two days for ND in the portal.

Quite the fall from grace for this kid

Hilarious (if true)

Completely kills the regular season. I hate the move
Hush there ND, you have no room to talk about the regular season dosent matter 🤣🤣🤣

Make it stop.

Fun fact, Bo Nix got benched for TJ Finley under Bryan Harsin.

Need to get our money back. Retroactively fire him for cause.

someone tampered with our FG kicker after he had signed a deal to stay and will now they will have to pay a buyout as well. what a world we live in these days. haha

Was it Ohio State?

Seems like they could have cancelled any of the other three games cited.

VMI I get - a tune up game for them and a payday to VMI to help out their athletic department. Plus a game with the Dukes would be a guaranteed sellout. I guess JMU is the team to beat in VA, as much as it pains me to say it 😒
