2025 Callaway Apex UW

I regret this is the one club I can't find a spot in the bag.

Played a 9 hole sim round at Victoria National while at the sim place in town on Wednesday night for a March Madness pool team draft, and the performance out of the UW is just ridiculous. Highlight shot was hole 9, heading into the giant pond.

I can't swing driver at this place as the ceiling is too low (yes, wildly annoying) but can swing my Elyte Mini. I grabbed my 11.5 head and turned it down to 10.5 and plugged in the Tour AD-VF and hit a 278 yard bomb down the middle of the fairway. Had 223 left to the pin, so went UW and smoked it. Ended up on the green in 2 and had a two putt birdie (if only I could have done that at the WWGC right @JDax :ROFLMAO: )

It is a truly effortless club to hit. I love that I can go after it and get that 215ish carry and roll, or can back off just a bit without losing control and hit the 205ish carry. Paired with the Ventus Velocore TR Red, it is truly a dream.

It is my favorite club in the bag, and that is a STRONG statement considering how good I think the Quantum TD Max will perform this year.

You beat me to it… lol great stuff here though.

Did a fitting for woods and hybrids yesterday and this club was part of it. It just confirmed what I learned at last year's Goat Cup - I love this club and I think it's going to be a versatile club in my bag. Will be placing an order soon.

The 2021 Apex UW 21* I picked up over winter has its spot in my bag guaranteed, after just a couple of rounds. To be honest, first round confirmed it had kicked out the 4-iron and relegated the old TSR2 7-wood to the "need to sell" list. I have a couple of shafts as options, but I think the Kuro Kage will be the one for the bag. Even with the stock HZRDUS RDX smoke black 6.0 (which isn't quite stiff enough for me), I was hitting the ball really well on the club's first outing. 205yd (into wind) and 230yd greens, and I left the ball within 5yds of the putting surface each time. They were the first two shots with the club on grass and the first was from rough amongst trees with a narrow window to hit. Really confidence inspiring club.
Not sure I dare try the '25 version... my wallet needs to cool down for a few months. lol

This has turned into one of those clubs that will refuse to leave the bag for years to come for me. The last club to do that was the original Cobra King Tec. This replaced that at the Grandaddy and I'm seeing 5 yard gains on average off the deck with the UW. My longest was 229 yards with 217 compared to the King Tec for my longest shots.

Off the tee I'm hitting 83% of my fairways. It's a safe play from the tee box when I need to build confidence. I'm purchasing a backup.

I may have missed what loft King tec was replaced?

It's my favorite club in the bag. I love it.

I’ve been debating upgrading my OG model to the new model. I might just reshaft my OG with a Ventus Red for more height. I love my 3W but was also thinking 17* can easily take its spot with more forgiveness. More to think about :devilish:

I have the Ventus Red TR in mine and it is a fantastic combo. Excellent flight and control.

That's what I did. Easier to hit off Tee and Fairway.

First swing of the year on a real course with new clubs was yesterday and the Apex 4UW was the club I chose. Tight / narrow tree lined each side short par 4. Pushed it a bit that ended up just off the cart path but would have been a good shot on a bit wider fairway.

Used it on approach shots on two holes from about 175-180. Both ended pin high just off the green (and that's mostly because I aim like ****).

Can't wait to see what it does on longer par 3s off the tee. The second hole at my course plays about 175 from the whites and 190 from the blues, so this club is going to see a lot of action on that hole.

I'm going to order the new 23 degree UW with Ventus Black 80 (non-Velocore). I do carry the TD 3 wood with Ventus Black 70 and trying to figure out if I would be better using a TD 5 wood or 7 wood with same shaft? Thoughts?

This club guys. My goodness.

I had a few opportunities to pull it during my first round outside again this year and it was just fantastic.

High, controlled and penetrating flight. Outstanding feel and easy to launch.

Used it off the tee on Hole 2 and hit it 225 yards to the right side of the fairway which set me up perfectly for my approach shot (which I butchered lol).

Used it on the par 3 sixth hole and hit it into a strong headwind with 205 yards to the pin. Hit it pin high but faded it and missed the green. Outstanding contact though.

Then used it on the Par 5 11th hole after a topped drive and shanked 7i left me well out of the green. Hit it 217 yards into short wedge range.

Truly love this club. I can tell it is going to be incredibly reliable

I love it. You can tell by sound when you hit really well. Today average was 210-220 with the 21⁰, always slightly Toe. Last Hole 2nd shot was 235 to Trees before Dogleg. Hit it and heard that high ting sound...uh oh. Watched Ball fly into Trees. Sheesh, if hit well, Ball Go Far. 😀
