2025 Callaway Utility Series – Apex UT

I can't get the idea of a 22º UT as a "fun to mess around with 15th club" out of my head.

Mine was a "fill a gap" and I chose this way ove a UW just due to the potential distance overlap with my 3H. I am really excited about golf knowing what I saw this past week.

I have an Apex Ai 200 4i in the bag now, but am intrigued with the UT. Nothing wrong with the Ai 200, just something to try.
The UT is about an inch longer than a 4i I believe.

I didn’t get to hit any balls due to the snow and ice today. Will be in the simulator this weekend for a couple of hours. Should have some full numbers and indoors opinion on this gorgeous looking hunk of metal.

I told myself no before getting fit but at 20 degrees it was such a natural fit into the Ti Fusion 250:

Shaft is Ventus Black 9TX with Velocore. Feels so good!

What gapping window does it hit for you?

Playing it as a “4 iron” since my lofts are moderately strong on my irons. My new new adjustable will play at 18. At 20 degrees there will be enough difference in ball flight to make it work well and still be “different uses”

5 iron is around 205 for me so 215 to 220 is perfect

I’m gonna learn to hit stingers with this for fun.

Especially with the right wind conditions. Could be a hell of a gamer.
When my summer time baked fairways take effect this will me a monster bounding down the fairways.

Man I wish I had seen you hit it while we were out there. Imma need footage of the missiles

It would be a lethal choice as a punch out club.
I’m also curious about hitting high cuts off the deck. Will be a safe layup club on non-reachable par 5s. Way more forgiveness than I expected to be in this package.

@Scooby45 got to hear it on the phone the other day. I smoked a few

I meant to ask if you were planning on laying it off the deck. I say, why not.

Oh I’m gonna run it and likely hit 30-40 yard chips with it. It will get the use.

I think it's a middle of the season, CPO, type of deal for me, but I'm going to keep checking. These just seem fun.

I’d bet the 24 degree would be a cheat code. I should have tried it

I can already attest to this. It really is a missile launcher. It gives me something in that 195-200 range pretty effortlessly.

What shaft do you have in yours. Blended with your irons or more of a hybrid shaft?

Pondering an 18* just because.
