It has been a busy two months for Cobra Golf, from the the DS ADAPT metalwood and iron unveils, to the official announcement of Max Homa joining the Tour Staff setting up for a potentially monumental 2025 for the brand. It was that last one, however, that brought with it a spoiler of why we […]

2025 is going to be a big year for Cobra.

It’ll be fun to give these a shot.

Oh wow!

The King line is sublime!! From the detail in the sole grind relief to the hammered accent, to the stock finish.

I kind of need these in my bag. 😍

Mmhmm, these are tasty. I forsee these in raw in my future.

"The KING’s are the biggest visual departure we have seen from Cobra with their wedges in over a decade. The aesthetic here is built on ensuring everything flows to create an elegant but modern look that will stand out in pictures, in-hand, and on shelves. "

Yes...Yes....and YES! They look so much better than anything Cobra has ever put out in this category, I love this direction that they are going, was never a fan of "snakebite" just felt more gimmicky then anything.

They look really nice. Couple of questions.

Cobra referred to the “notch” as a “scallop” several years ago. Did they let that go themselves or just didn’t state it?

MIM irons in the King Tour were advised against being bent for loft and more than 1 degree on lie angle. Any mention of this since the manufacturing is the same?

The scallop in Snakebites was really useful when opening the clubface. I loved the additions when they were presented to us and need to get some turf time with these.

Best looking wedges in years and its not close, can't wait to hit them

I'm sure it was, I just didn't like the look or naming of it.

These are gorgeous, really like what they are doung with the design. As a lefty a little bummed to only be able to get the versatile grind, but i do get it....with the success i have had with the Snakebite wedges, i am sure it will love these and want them.

Got it. I do like that Cobra is bringing the "King" line into the variety of clubs. I feel like that creates a good portfolio with the mainline, f.ex. "DS-Adapt" being year over year and "King"-line having a longer product cycle.

Yeah, both the King and King X wedges look absolutely fantastic. Love the hammered texture added to the back of the flange. I was a huge fan of both the Snakebit and Snakebite X wedges last year and these look like great improvements. Moving the X to MIM to improve feel sounds amazing and I cannot wait to hit these. The change in available grinds going from Classic to Drop and the addition of the tour grind seems like a nice update, and we all know Cobra has the best black finish with that QPQ Black, it's just so good.

I absolutely cannot wait to get these in hand.

The looks of these will blend really well with the 3dp irons. Snakebite wedges were excellent and I can only assume these are even better.

Love the look of these - the subtle hammered section, the bold cuts on the back, new grind options. Plus a raw option?! I may be giving this FWT a try this season 🤔

Nice seeing new wedges from Cobra. They have looks and performance covered.

I haven’t always liked the look of cobra wedges but these check all the boxes for me. Those are clean. Hammered sections reminds me of the Limit3d lattice. I like it.

These are the first Cobra wedge I'm really anxious to try. A couple grinds really stand out to me, but I'm hoping I get a chance to try them all out on grass in the Spring.

Love that they gave a non-scalloped version

good looking wedge

Great write up @Jman

The new X wedges badge improves their look substantially in photos at least. Love the return to MIM as I thought that was a great wedge material.

I'll take a 48° V grind, 52° D grind and 56° W grind, all Black QPQ.

Another great looking release. I will definitely give these a look in the spring.

I love that the Cobra is really making tech the story this year. MIM wedges with robot polishing just sounds really cool. I think the look of the new wedges really stands out against other offerings and the addition of the new grinds is very intriguing.
As a golfer that misses a lot of greens, wedges are super important to me. These are likely going straight into my bag when they come out.
