Later I suppose then? Not part of this release.
I’ll ask tonightLater I suppose then?
Believe it should be the same process they have been doing. Should hold up just fine. The Cobra Black finish holds up so well will that change? , great write up.
It’s the same finish that was on the black snakebite wedges, but it is different than the DBM on the KING Tour, CB and MB irons.Believe it should be the same process they have been doing. Should hold up just fine.
Ahh I was wondering where that difference was. It’s the same finish that was on the black snakebite wedges, but it is different than the DBM on the KING Tour, CB and MB irons.
Like I said. Take it with some salt as some times pictures are hard to get the full idea. And when you see them in hand it’s less of an issue.
I was about to add, I think the length of neck could initially play with some eyes more than anything.Like I said. Take it with some salt as some times pictures are hard to get the full idea. And when you see them in hand it’s less of an issue.
But.
1. for me is the smaller lower groove. It’s distracting to me..
2. The leading edge looks more rounded than I would like. Or maybe it is just how the hosel transitions to the leading edge. It also makes it look like there is a lot of offset.
Edit.. it could also be that the neck looks super long. That is a cool feature. But could be something in the picture throwing things off.
It was something I noticed right after. So it could just be the bottom groove. lol. I don’t like the small bottom groove.I was about to add, I think the length of neck could initially play with some eyes more than anything.
They’ve got an old school Vokey vibe, and I mean that in a great way
Those are simply stunning. Love the trend of CB wedges looking good and these currently sit on the throne imhoIt is honestly, and I mean this with entirely, one of the best satin wedge finishes I’ve seen on wedges.

Length being longer than maybe others?I was about to add, I think the length of neck could initially play with some eyes more than anything.

Longer than some, and than the trend by some. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing at all.Length being longer than maybe others?
Just means its more forgivingLonger than some, and than the trend by some. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing at all.
Longer hosel means higher CG and lower launch. All good things.Longer than some, and than the trend by some. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing at all.
Not at all, but also pulls CG more heel side compared to toe side. Was just curious since I haven’t seen in person yet and spent half the day debating which of these two wedges to slot into the SW spotLonger than some, and than the trend by some. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing at all.
Depends on the rest of the design. Not at all, but also pulls CG more heel side compared to toe side. Was just curious since I haven’t seen in person yet and spent half the day debating which of these two wedges to slot into the SW spot
Dependent on the rest of the design.Longer hosel means higher CG and lower launch. All good things.
Of course, but that is a general affect.Dependent on the rest of the design.
It’s a piece of a greater puzzle.
Can be, yes.Of course, but that is a general affect.
To be clear, I’m not saying these have a more heel side CG compared to others wedges. Simply that a longer hosel means more weight heel side, which shifts CG that direction, assuming rest of the club is the same. If I’m wrong with that understanding please help me better understand how all the pieces play together.Depends on the rest of the design.
It absolutely can, but, it also depends on what else is being done in the rest of the head weight placement wise.To be clear, I’m not saying these have a more heel side CG compared to others wedges. Simply that a longer hosel means more weight heel side, which shifts CG that direction, assuming rest of the club is the same. If I’m wrong with that understanding please help me better understand how all the pieces play together.
No plans as of now.Later I suppose then?
Great write up @Jman
The new X wedges badge improves their look substantially in photos at least. Love the return to MIM as I thought that was a great wedge material.
These are absolutely a must-hit! LOVE the new looks of both. I am a little disappointed that they didn't keep the full-face grooves though.
They crushed theCBsKing X (gotta be proper!)
I do when looking at the King X, not sure how I feel about that still. Have gotten so used to seeing the full face grooves.
