2025 Cobra KING TEC and KING TEC ONE Hybrids

FINALLY a good day with my 5H again.

Amazing when I stop trying to help things, the impact and flight come right back.

Had a shot into a Par 5 from 210 and hit this because I had to cover water and wanted one more club, boy I got one more club alright as I was definitely long of target. But, the flight was....it was what these were for me when I first got them.

Its a relief, as I was SUPER close to going back to the 4i.

The One length in this is super tempting as a play club.

I've been waffling on the 3H lofted up to 4H against my King TEC 4i for a few weeks with the hybrid keeping the spot but not really bailing me out like I hoped it would. There is an elevated long par 3 at my league course and tonight it was playing a club downhill with a front pin at 204y. I flew the hybrid right over the flag and it rolled out about 25 ft for a long birdie chance. Made the 2 putt par and walked off happy with knowing I had that club and that swing in my bag. The 4i for my distance would have had to have been a forced draw overswing that usually ends up with a block short right and hoping for a chip and putt. I think I'm keeping the hybrid in for now, especially as conditions get a bit softer this time of year in CO.

Only hit the hybrid once today, but it was probably my best shot of the round. Par 5 second shot, needed a low/mid shot, about 208, and needed to draw it quite a bit if I wanted to be on the green. Hit it just about as well as I possibly could have, drew it around the tree, and ended up about 12-15 feet with a look for eagle. JUST missed the putt and tapped in for bird, but to be able to hit that shot when needed with a hybrid felt really really good. I don't think there is anything I can't hit when needed with this club.

I’ve been struggling with the hybrid the last couple outings so for now the 4i TEC X is back in the bag

I haven't needed the hybrid much lately on the courses I play, but if it's ever needed, it's a super confident club for me. Sounds phenomenal and just wants to do what I want with it. There may be a tee shot or two at Victoria National I may pull it, and if that's what is needed, I won't even need to think twice about it. It's just so good for me.

The only second thought I could possibly have about bagging it at the Morgan Cup is if I feel like the 7w is a better option due to distances and height. but overall the hybrid has been fantastic for me this year.
