Got it. I found the Darkspeed and the last King Tec to be quite close with the King Tec spinning a bit more but DS launching higher. What starts to happen with some of the hybrids with smaller profiles is that they just launch and spin too low for me and I hit bullets with them, especially in the lower lofts. I need a little more back to front size and the associated weighting benefits to get the most out of them.
The previous King Tec with the heavy weight at back and toe was as anti hook as anything ever. Now with the addition of FF33, I'd wager there's a lot here you'll like.Hybrids have always been hook machines for me. Maybe with FF33 and moveable weights and I can at least reduce the left miss. These are pretty high on my list to try this year.
That's music to my ears. I have worked on my swing a lot to try to straighten things up, but hybrids always feel so draw biased I still can't make it work. I'm pretty excited about this one though. I'd love to have a reliable hybrid in the bag, so maybe this'll be the one.The Tec hybrids have historically been incredibly anti hook, these continue that DNA
I'm pretty excited about this one, especially with the addition of FF33. Being able to adjust the lie angle I think will be a huge help. I always feel like most hybrids are too upright for me and I have to try to adjust my stance and swing for one club, which doesn't end well for me. lolThe previous King Tec with the heavy weight at back and toe was as anti hook as anything ever. Yes, the King Tec 23 and the Darkspeed hybrids were very similar in shape and size with the King Tec being slightly larger, for me the Darkspeed definitely launches a bit lower and spins much less (at least in the 17 degree) thus why it produced faster ball speeds and longer carry distances although both were really good hybrids, there seems to be bigger differences between the 25 King Tec and the DS adapt hybrids but we'll know for sure once we get to hit them both and the FF33 adapter looks to be game changing.Got it. So happy we have choices for player needs and they all come with FF33 to really tune and gap it.
And now add in FF33. They are going to be SO GOOD.The Tec hybrids have historically been incredibly anti hook, these continue that DNA
I think that was a great call to link those lines together for OL this go around. Also find it really interesting that Cobra went with the one length hybrids in this line keeping with the decision of going OL in the King Tec X instead of the DS adapt line, making one length more in the "Players" categories.
Without hitting them, I'd expect the King Tec hybrids to launch a bit lower than the DS Adapts. I am almost thinking of going DS Adapt 3h and King tec 4h. I'll have to get some time in as well because these make the decision between 5w and hybrid a bit harder for me.Decisions at this part of the bag just got complicated for me. Going to have to give some time to the fitting bay to get what is best.
That is where my head is at, just down a step. DS Adapt in the 4H and King Tec in the 5H. My challenge is I also really enjoy gaming a 6h so I am either then jumping back models, which seems weird to my feeble mind or finding the right 6 iron I can launch.Without hitting them, I'd expect the King Tec hybrids to launch a bit lower than the DS Adapts. with the FF33 on there, no reason the King Tec wouldn't work for both 5 and 6h I would think. Or even DS adapt 4 and 5, and then King tec 6.That is where my head is at, just down a step. So are you suggested a King Tec 5H, just simply loft it all the way up to serve as a 6h?with the FF33 on there, no reason the King Tec wouldn't work for both 5 and 6h I would think. Or even DS adapt 4 and 5, and then King tec 6.
Yea the king tec irons 6i for reference is 26*. The King Tec hybrid 5h is 25, so you'd be able to get it up to 27*. Then just get it cut a little shorter and boom, 6h. lolSo are you suggested a King Tec 5H, just simply loft it all the way up to serve as a 6h?
