2025 Cobra KING TEC and KING TEC ONE Hybrids

I have the original and really like it overall.

It is the first hybrid that has actually made the bag in a while and I am glad to see them come out with a new version that has a few awesome tweaks which could really elevate the performance.
 
I want one.

Keep in mind, these are DRASTICALLY different in profile.

IMO, those who love the original TEC’s (v1 and v2) should lean ADAPT.

That is definitely what I gathered when looking through them.

While I really like my TEC hybrid, it is also my least used club by a large margin. Monday I have the morning off and my buddies shop has them in lefty for demo so I will meander over there and give all of them a hit.
 
Will be trying this out in the king tec 4hy this year along side the MMT to see which one performs best.

Thanks for that note - i'm waiting for local shops to have the new tec in stock to give a hit.
Something about the new shape just says YES to my brain.
Still very on the fence of 3/4 irons vs hybrids going in the bag.

It’s so so so so clean.

For a confident ball striker, they’re going to be weapons.
 
I am pretty close to going to pick up a 5h off the rack of the King Tec just to try out before getting MC orders. I am confident in my selection of the 4i but I like options.

That is one I want to try and if it was offered through Cobra I would have ordered the king tec with it
 
Stopped in at a different Golftown hoping to see the King Tec in hand. No such luck, first time I will see will be when I open the Cobra box and peel the plastic off

I’m not sure if many have the new king tec hybrids in for demo or sale. I’ve been trying to find them in Seattle to try as well.

You keep saying that, but I still want one 😄 I really need to find one to hit and see for myself, how it is.
They live rent free in my head for now.
 
Great looking club but not sure I have the game for this one
 
I am committing to using the Tec 4 hybrid this season. Where I believe this hybrid will surpass previous hybrids that I have tried and gamed is the adjustability on offer from the FF33 adapter. It will allow me to find tune the launch window thereby creating an absolute weapon on long approach shots.
 
Come on Walker you can’t miss that
 
I'm a driving iron user but these are making me think about adding one!

I didn’t either. Once I saw that on their site though I immediately jumped on one to test.

You guys are making me think go all internet golfer with the King Tec 5h turned all the way up into the 6h spot and then a DS Adapt 5h maybe lofted down a click to gap. That would be full on lunatic fringe. Not sure you get that one past Lord Tox. Would be fun to see.

The footprint is sooo much smaller. The Tec looks fantastic.
 
Saw them today at a local retailer. Great looking. Set up square. I’m sure they perform beautifully but I think I am going to go with a 7 wood instead of a hybrid.

Have you played hybrid much before? I seem to remember you being more of a DI guy? (saying this fully realizing and knowing they are not an option for this comp)

Admittedly, I have tried many but the only one that ever stuck around was a G430 3 hybrid that was in the bag until recently. The ability to tailor the set up of the King Tec to what I need is what is driving this choice. If I can find a hybrid that gives me that, my utility iron days may be numbered.

One more follow up, what yardage club are you hoping this to be? A 215 club type deal? Or?
