2025 MLB Thread + Hot Stove Off Season

All this talk about your pen being trash, and we went like an entire baseball game inside a baseball game without getting a runner into scoring position with them out there. Unsung heroes for sure.
1000%.
4 of the regular bullpen guys are out. The guys who shuttled back and forth from AAA that replaced them were unbelievable.

I was searching Will Klein cards on eBay this morning.

I think I read the Dodgers went with 12 pitchers and the Jays have 13. They are short on arms. Their most reliable reliable reliever and his wife potentially encountered a late stage lost pregnancy last week, their closer had minor surgery / a procedure @2 weeks ago, two of their normal set up guys are injured. Klein, Henriquez and Wroblenski are guys who spent substantial time in AAA
No incorrect. Dodgers have 13 pitchers and Jays have 12. Vesia is off the roster for family reasons but Will Klein look unbelievable as a replacement

Not sure if you caught it but later in the game the announcers shared there have been 22 balls hit with the same exit velocity and launch angle this season as with Smith’s fly out. 21 of them were HRs.

I did. still made me laugh.

Don't get me wrong...I like the new school bat flips, celebrations, goofy stuff like the Mariners holding a trident or Jays wearing a coat after a home run...I think that stuff is fun and adds to the game.

But at the same time if you bat flip an out or pose a deep fly...I still am going to clown you for it. I love Will Smith but that was funny. Teoscar is kind of the Puig of the current Dodgers.

And it did make it so Freeman maybe just ran hard...

had not heard the reason on Vesia but that is tragic. best wishes towards him and his family. Sucks.

When Wroblenski was dealing and no Jay was even threatening a loud out and Roberts is like, "oh, hey, might be a good time to bring in the ghost of Treinen...he was good last year" I wanted to scream.

I feel like the number of arms isn't relevant when you just keep going to the same well again and again, even if it is of dubious effect.

Treinen was great. He had a great career. He ain't that guy now. Go with what is working sometimes Roberts. My blood pressure will thank you.

what, you didn't have "Will Klein wins possibly most pivotal game of the World Series" on your bingo card?

rookie move.
Lol.. I did not. But that kid was a dawg last night and I will own a jersey.

For future reference if you like sleep

I wasn’t even thinking about music. This reminded me of that whole on field rap battle thing they did last year with Ice Cube and ??. I’m glad that’s not happening again, though it could be extra spicy this year with Drake and Kendrick as possibilities.

Springer cheated in 17, and if you remember the Astros barely beat the Dodgers in WS. I don't condone booing an injury but I do understand it.

Any word on Springer playing tonight?

Q: How does a guy play in a 17-hour game one night and starting pitch the next night?

A: because he's not a human.

This home plate umpire is already ridiculously bad

I like Dan’s term: Japanese Jesus 😂

to be fair, he really didn't have to do anything for the last 5 hours of that game ha

On base 9 times with 2 homers.
He was busier than most pitchers with a start the next day in the World Freaking Series.

I equate being walked the same as watching the game in the bullpen ha

Well, just the 4 extra base hits before he was walked 5 times are wayyyyy more than Bieber was doing.

Here.

Emotional and here lmao

Excellent pitching on both sides.

Ohtani is grinding, gritty, and god, based on the announcers lmao - and I get where they are coming from

Okay.
Big leverage moment right here.
