IO am dodger guy and even I was thinking they were over the top. "You don't know what he is doing" "you don't know how good he is" "You don't know how awesome what he is doing is"

yeah, he pitched 6ish decent innings, was behind before the explosion, did not help himself at plate. Is he great? Absolutely. Did maybe Bieber deserve some sort of credit? WWas driving me nuts and I an unabashedly a Dodger homer in this series.

it has been shown by data a guy actually slows down and loses speed diving...you lose the driving force of the legs, takes extra time...so when it does work, it is DESPITE the dive....


but Pete Rose ruined the game in many ways. There is a certain amount of "I would rather look like I am all out and fail than look like I am not all out and succeed" in sports.

I can't be the only one thinking the Dodgers, even when ahead 2-1, were borderline behind.

They HAD to have game 2, Jays wanted it. Now it is 3 game series and at some point, likely a key point, Roberts will go to the ghost of Treinen who, if what I heard last night is correct, has given p hits to 6 of 9 guys he has faced...

People were talking like Ohtani, Snell, Yamamoto...Jays are cooked. Nah. Dodgers had ADVANTAGE, but advantage ain't a W. You still have to go score. And score more than the other guy. And now Ohtani and Snell have a losing record so far...

Still cautiously hopeful but if I were betting I would be betting on Jays to win it all. Hope I am wrong.

The last two games were really a reminder about my opinion of the Dodgers all year. They have kind of played like a beer league softball team with a bunch of home run hitters. In 2024 they had timely hitting, base run great, played solid D, had guys - even the super stars - that did "glue guy" type stuff. That stuff has mostly been missing this year, and instead they have needed someone to do something outstanding to win.
 
I’m rooting for Blue Jays.
Even if I wasn’t a neutral fan this series has had everything to be really exciting WS and wouldn’t be surprise if it went all the way to game 7 and extra innings.

when Roberts decided to insert Rojas for Kike hernandez...one of the few guys thy have who has been situationally getting on base...the forehead slap may have left a bruise.

Kike is a great glue guy. Horrifically bad star...and I get what they were trying but Hernandez has that capability. Oh well. Tonight will be tense for me. Just picked up in laws from airport and the question, "what are we doing tonight?" when replied "Watching World Series and, if it gets out of control, Blazers" was not well received so pray for me...there may not be peace in the house tonight lol

My stress level has gone down dramatically with the realization i mentioned above. They are who they are and they definitely could lose. It is what it is.

I like the lineup changes tonight. At least Roberts is trying to kick-start the offense. I could not agree much more strongly that having an automatic out in the 9-hole really makes Ohtani's at-bats less meaningful. Easy to walk him with nobody on base
