2025 MLB Thread + Hot Stove Off Season

That was a good stolen base. Didn't amount to anything but doing the little things to get even 1 more run.

Jays are a likeable team. I wish I'd watched more this year
They were 26-28 at the end of May haha - took them a while to figure out who they were, but what a ride it’s been.

Come on Jays! Close strong.

One.
More.
Game.

Oh my ******* **** snacks.

One more Toronto.....One More

What an unbelievable performance by Trey.

Yamamoto in Game 6 right?

Jays can win it in front of their fans, let’s go!

What an unbelievable performance by Trey.
Absolutely so! It’s amazing to think he began the season pitching in front of 327 fans in Single A and last night was his eighth major league game. The majority of those appearances have been in the postseason. Toronto has won 4 of those 5 games he has pitched in the playoffs and WS.

One for the ages man. I was hoping this being his first time on the road in the playoffs would make a difference. If it did it was the opposite of what I had hoped. My wife was rooting for the Jays last night since his name is Trey.

Welp... have to win 2 on the road against a really good team. Prob too much to ask but Dodgers do have Yamamoto tomorrow. Gives hope.

wife asked me like four times if I was "okay" after the game last night lmao

I'm just.. shocked? Bewildered? I haven't doubted this team since May, but everything I've read everywhere suggested their fate was sealed before the series began. What they've accomplished this year is incredible, and they have two chances in front of their fans to get it done.

I can't wait. Already a bit stressed for tomorrow hahahaha

I'm glad you are getting the chance to experience this Daniel. It's something everybody should get to experience.

The last time the Jays were in this position, I was like.. 8. I remember moments but not a ton.

What's hilarious is that Cal can't stay up as bad as he wants to. He gives up somewhere between 9:15 and 10 every game. Wife has stayed on the couch (albeit asleep a bit) every game and I love her for it.

8pm starts SUCK for young fans.

I have so many baseball memories as a young kid, but none of them involved my team winning lol. It definitely has to be different when you're so much more aware and have more years invested in the ups/downs.

I agree that the late start times are dumb. Doesn't help him, but at least games aren't 4+ hours now.

but at least games aren't 4+ hours now.

I've been trying to decide if the 18-inning game was a good thing or a bad thing. On the one hand it's super cool because it can only happen in the playoffs anymore, but on the other hand I didn't stay up to watch it - and I bet neither did most other casual fans who aren't team loyal. I bet even most Jays and Dodgers fans went to bed.

Maybe if it was an elimination game, but yea - that's very late.

I loved it. My team lost and I still loved it.

Although there are other reasons, one reason I believe baseball has lost or not connected with future generations of fans is because of the starting time for the World Series.

Games were definitely more accessible when I was a kid.

Rumor has it MLB is making the Blue Jays pitch Jordan Romano for 1 inning to guarantee game 7
Funny enough, as a local boy, it'd probably be the best inning he's pitched all year.

SkyDome would shift three inches during it too.
