Now that we have the participant list filled out, wanted to get this thread started so we could start to plan for everyone.

Dates of the event: September 26th-28th (Friday-Sunday)

Write in here any plans on dates of arrival/departure and we’ll get extra rounds figured out closer to the event when we can start grabbing tee times.

I’m currently planning on driving down either the night of the 25th or morning of the 26th, and then leaving the morning of Monday the 29th.

I'm thinking the same thing, gonna fly into either Nashville or Louisville the morning of the 25th, fly out on Monday the 29th. I think @JB recommended Nashville over Louisville in another travel thread for Victoria National. Hopefully get a practice round in the morning of the 26th.

September is still a while out so not quite sure but may be down for a practice round on the 26th if you all are playing local to Victoria National

I have not made plans yet (obviously) but I usually like to get in a day or two early. If I go into Nashville or Louisville then I definitely will and do some exploring in the city. Ill keep an eye out for what everyone is doing.

Way way way early but the wife has approved that I can go play French Lick (Pete Dye) while I am there. I am thinking of adding that after the MC as I know it is not a course everyone will want to pay for before the event. Just letting folks know as I will probably play that Monday. Of course that means I will probably rent a car from Louisville as I don't expect a lot of takers to go play there.

I will see how things pan out for before the event as coming from the western part of the US I can't get in earlier than 4PM it seems like so I would have to come in Thursday for a Friday round or earlier if needed. Will keep updated.

I’m about a 4 hour drive away and will most likely work out an arrangement with @Scooby45 for the travel over and back, but definitely interested in a practice round prior

Okay flights have been purchased. I’m flying into Nashville on Thursday September 25th at 9am and flying out Monday September 29th at 1PM.

Now to figure out Hotel arrangements, and Friday morning practice round.

Any recommendations on where to look to play?

Pre round if you’re wanting to stay close to Victoria National I recommend Cambridge. It’s a fun links style course.

There is a course closer called Quail Crossing but conditioning isn’t great but it is improving. The only reason it’s worth mentioning is it’s really close and a Tom Doak design.

The Bridges is another fun course but haven’t played there in a couple years so can’t comment on the condition. It’s across the bridge in Henderson, KY. Probably about 20-30 minutes away.

I will be driving and planning to arrive Wednesday evening and then drive home after (hopefully) a Monday round at French LIck. Appears I have all necessary approvals for that plan.

I'm really looking forward to that. We obviously have ample time to talk through it, but you'd be welcome to ride with me on Monday If you decide that would work for you.

Dye Course?

It may depend on a couple factors, but that is on the bucket list, so I will see what I can do to join in

after seeing the cost of a round at French Lick....I'm probably not going to be joining any groups heading there lol

That is definitely one of the aforementioned factors 😂

It feels like a round there could be the cherry on top of what should be an awesome sundae of a weekend.

I mean it would be a fantastic cap to the weekend. But outside of my comfort zone of paying for golf haha
