2025 Titleist T-Series Irons

Decided to swap out my PX shaft setup back to my old go-to $taper setup. Should have them this week. Hoping to get in some golf before the real cold stuff shows up in NY.

I was wiping down my T250* irons and thought it would be a good time to give a condition update. My 8 iron and P get the most use on the practice range so I took a few pictures of those two. They both have hit approximately 400-500 balls, primarily on the range, including 30 - 60 each from greenside (P) or fairway bunkers.

I am very happy with their condition and how they look after that many balls, especially considering most of the shots were with range balls (higher quality but not Pro V1 quality). The bottoms don’t look that different from when they were new. The faces have minor scratches on them but not significant and grooves are still great.

I had an interesting fitting. I went in with the idea that this year’s swing work focusing on covering the ball more was hurting my game. Let the fitter know and warmed up with my Mizuno JPX 925 HMP 7i. I was getting spin in the low 4k range, apexing at 70 ft. max, and landing angles below 42 and occasionally in the upper 30’s. It was nice that what I was seeing on course showed up. I’m lucky enough to need low CG for launch and forgiveness combined with loft. Just not too much of both.

My fitter brought out a T150 head 2 degrees weak and set it up with the stock AMT Silver. I hit it well. 6500 rpm, mid 46 landing angle, 19.7 launch, 90ish apex. Swinging a 7i at 82-84mph I liked seeing that apex. I could order it custom but that wouldn’t satisfy my immediate gratification so I asked to try the standard loft. I hit that well too. 44.7 landing angle, 6200ish spin, mid 17.6 launch, 86ish apex. Went back and forth a few times.

Long story short I bought a set of T150 irons but I’m fighting some doubts that this is too much club. I didn’t see any proof of that in my fitting. In fact it should reinforce my choice. It was obviously the best combo I hit today. I’ll just try to keep this tidbit in mind:
The T150s give you so much in a relatively small package. Don’t try to force more out of them, just trust that they will deliver on good normal swings and will provide a surprisingly high amount of forgiveness when you don’t have your best. They are incredible.

Pretty impressive!

I have an atrocious iron swing right now to give these a fair review. I will say that the forgiveness has been nice. Had a few toe shots that would have easily been short of greens with the old set actually end up on the front edges. When I do make a solid strike I'm finding more of a draw so that is something I will have to adjust to as well.

Seems like an ideal time for a fair review, actually. I mean, if we could all make center contact with the ball we wouldn’t need to have so many choices in irons.

Keep swinging, looking forward to some more of your experiences as you get more time in on them. Remind us which setup you ended up with?

250s 5-P with Project X 5.5s 1* up lie. More frustration on my part. I had a really good range session prior to the round but couldn't bring that swing with me into competition. Main issue is im not even consistently hitting the toe or heel side. its all over high low toe and heel. Just need to focus more.

How did your heel side misses end up?

Love the look of the T150's. I'm going for a clubfitting in the Spring and Titleist is among the 3 or 4 brands of irons i'm interested in along with Cobra, Ping and Tour Edge I figured i'd likely be fit into the 250's or a mixed 250/350 set. The more posts like this i read, i'm excited to see how the 150's perform for me. Honestly, i can't wait to give new irons a tryout... i've been playing Ping i200's since they were introduced and, while i like them very much, i think i'm ready for a change.

If you’re still hitting the i200s well I think the 150s would be an excellent replacement option. Plus they’ll combo flawlessly with the 250s if you want/need more help in the long irons.

That's awesome.... honestly, my 4i could use some help these days (i'm considering another fairway wood to replace.... other than that, i'm hitting the i200's decently.
But.... if a T250/350 gets me back to where i expect 4i to be, i might just stick with that over a fairway wood... Thanks!

I’d love to try the 250 and 350 myself. I really like the plain looking club head.

A Titleist fitter will be able to get you squared away. You may indeed wind up in a hybrid or wood at the 4 slot, a few of the guys in the Titleist experience did. But they will certainly see if there’s a T-series option that will work for you as well.

No bueno. Toe side is the side to miss on from my experience. Other than the one hosel rocket, they didn't go far off line, but the distance loss was pretty severe in comparison
To be expected. There isn’t much meat on the heel side, but it’s a positive that the directional miss was minimized.

I was fit into the T250s. With my season ending in less than two weeks, I’m going to be giving these irons a serious ponder over the offseason.

Has anyone confirmed how much tungsten is in the 350 and 250? I thought I saw there’s nearly 100 grams? If so, that’s insane and I love it ha. I know the Cobra 3DP Tour has 100 grams and the MOI is off the charts.

That is the number I have seen used for the amount of tungsten in the T250/350. Although, understand it varies by loft and model.

I came from the Callaway Ti Fusions, and I don’t find the T150s to be any less forgiving and if they are shorter, it’s only by a few yards for me

Still in the mid-high 80s so evening rounds have been perfect lately although the time change is cutting into that.
The 150s have been remarkable as always. Slight toe side miss the last two rounds on a few shots but it is such a forgiving miss, I’m only coming up 2-5yrds short.

For anybody on the fence of if they can game the 150s or not - I feel if you can strike the ball with a GI/PD iron without more than a handful of misses(toe/heel side) a round, you can probably game the T-150s with no issue. If you are fat/thin, that might be the difference maker imo.
While the clubhead might be smaller than a GI, they frame the ball well and give great confidence. Coming from the ZX7/ZXi7’s, my experience has been these are very much point and shoot and take more of an effort to really bend them which also adds confidence.

*Photo was taken after hitting my second shot on a par 5 with my 6i 190yrds. Left me 100yrds out. Stuck it to 10’ for bird.*

Are you testing heel side forgiveness and do I see new Recoil DARTs installed?
No sir, the ball is there for photo contrast and Darts get installed in my set this weekend.
