2025 Titleist T-Series Irons

So the ball is getting out there easily, but the spin is crazy low. I do have the $ Taper Lite Stiff shaft in which is low spin along with the low spin head.

Does anyone know of a ball with more spin than the ChromeSoft X but has a similar compression? I like a softer ball and I need more spin. Not a fan of hard/firm balls with high compression ratings.

I really can't get over my numbers right now with the 150's.

SUPER optimal. I don't know when it happened or how long it took, but somehow, I have a relatively neutral spin rate if not lower than average spin rate with my irons now. It has opened the door to some extreme distances considering my launch angle, with zero repercussions on landing because of my descent angle.

I just.. I need to find a way to trust it.

Example: 182 yards into wind to the hole. Flushed 6 iron carries the green.
Example: 217 yards to pin with wind. Flushed 5 iron with back foot slip a hair long right.
Example: 168 yards to pin with wind help-ish. Flushed 8 iron 10 yards long.

I just.. Need the buy in. They feel increeeeedible.

the efficiency is crazy. Funny enough, I was talking to @Scooby45 and @hedley_lamarr08 about some of the numbers I was putting up at GolfTec last week and then completely ignored them in order to blast the ball long a couple times hahaha

You missed 2 greens all day. 😀🤥

TP5 is the only high spin/lower compression premium ball I can think of. Most are firm and high spin/flight.

I hit the 150’s today. The shaft was the Nippon Modus 105 stiff. It really got my attention. I was very impressed. There could be t-250/t150 combo set in coming

I have that shaft with that combo and it’s so damn great

I saw these irons in person yesterday for the first time. My lord are they beautiful. The 250s and 350s are easily the best looking irons out there right now. I didn’t hit them but they would definitely be in the mix if I was looking.

Yesterday‘s round was fun and I had lots of good iron shots. What I am liking most on my T350’s is on the swings that are not so good the ball stays pretty straight on line. I hit a few fat yesterdays and they still almost made the green and didn’t leave me in much trouble.

Agree 100%. I still smile when I look at them and have received more positive comments on their looks from people that see them in my bag than any iron I’ve had.

First post here, and I’ll admit up front: I have a gear problem. Nothing hits dopamine quite like ripping the plastic off a brand-new club. The upside is that I generate an absurd amount of real-world data, fittings, and on-course testing across different heads and shafts. After spending most of this year rotating through high-end builds, I fell hard into the new T-Series line and wanted to share a detailed breakdown of the process and results.

The TL;DR:
The T150 is a brilliant iron, but lie angle absolutely matters—especially in a high-spin profile where face stability is everything. Going upright sabotaged my window, my curvature, and my distance control. The T100 fit my swing DNA better, and Titleist made the entire transition painless.

The Fitting
I went into my Titleist fitting with roughly $4,500 in gift cards earned through trades, committed to building a full Titleist setup. I was gaming Srixon Z-Forged II blades at the time and playing some of the best golf of my life, so the T100 was the obvious transition—similar lofts, more forgiveness, and still plenty of control.

A back flare-up the day before the fitting killed my ability to compress the ball, so the fitter put me on tees to save my back. Despite that, the data was clear:
  • T100: compact look, surprisingly smaller than the ZF2, good window, good spin
  • T150: softer feel, noticeably higher ball speed, and—surprisingly—7400 rpm from a tee, which is spin territory I’ve only reached with a 34° 7i in the past
  • Stock shape for me is a fade; high spin gives me the stable falling cut I like. Low spin makes me over-fade.

The fitter recommended going 1° upright. Coming from Srixons that are naturally flatter, this put me effectively 2° more upright than my gamer set. He explained it made sense based on my miss tendency. At the time, off tees only, everything was flying arrow-straight despite a right-to-left wind.

The only graphite option available was the Steelfiber 95CW. He suggested ordering the 110CW, but I refused to spec a shaft I hadn’t actually hit. I went to a local fitter friend to verify everything. We confirmed that the 95CW worked, but the 110CW didn’t. That session also started showing a pattern of left-misses, which becomes important later. My buddy eventually put me into the MMT 105, which I absolutely could not miss with.

The Build + On-Course Reality

I ordered T150 5–AW, MMT 105 stiff, 1° upright, plus a U505 4i (incredible club—legit one of the best utility irons I’ve ever hit).

For the first three rounds, every iron was pulled 15–20° left. Centered strikes, perfect contact, but starting left and staying left. Worse, I couldn’t manufacture a fade at all. My long irons were chaotic—carry numbers jumping 30 yards depending on spin.

I finally put the MLM2Pro behind the ball and immediately saw the issue:

The heel was digging violently.

Face closing instantly on contact.

Massive drop in spin.

Numbers confirmed it:
  • T150 7-iron: ~5200 rpm, huge left bias, inconsistent carry
  • ZF2 7-iron (1° weaker): ~6400 rpm, stable start line (~3 yards right), identical swing metrics
  • Attack angle: –1°
  • Path: +1 to +2°
In short: the upright lie angle was fighting my swing, shutting the face early, and deleting my spin window.

Titleist Customer Service

Titleist’s customer service is unreal. I called just to ask whether a head swap was even possible. I got connected with Andrew Streitfeild, and the guy went above and beyond. He let me bypass the original fitter, took my new T100 specs directly, and personally walked my returned set to the build shop.

Shipped Thursday → delivered Friday morning → rebuilt → shipped Friday afternoon.

Incredible.

The Fix

I kept the T150 5i to bend 2° flat, and swapped 6–AW into T100 with MMT 105, all 1° flat from Titleist standard. I may weaken the 4i and 5i lofts slightly later for a smoother progression.

This week I should have the new set, and I’ll run them through the MLM2Pro before playing to confirm spin, launch, and start lines are back where they should be.

I’ll update again after a few rounds with the T100, and hopefully this helps anyone torn between the models or navigating a similar fitting experience.

GolfSpy ball data says the Z star Diamond is similar spin profile as the Chrome Tour X but compression I believe is closer to a ProV1

it was so good. Could move the ball both ways. Do you play the 150’s through the whole set?

They are absolutely gorgeous irons! I have to stare a little bit every time I walk past my bag. They are lookers for sure, but they also have the performance to back up those looks.

That is incredible CS! Thanks for sharing! I hope the new set is exactly what you’re looking for.

Nope, T250 5-6, T150 7-PW

As a 10ish handicap who is not a fast swinger, I am glad I ended up with a combo set. The T250 is back to being one of my favorite clubs in the set. The feel, launch, flight, apparent spin and peak height are so good and so consistent for me.

I usually reach for the 6i when I have around 180-185 yards in mind. I had two opportunities with the 6i on par 5s during my last round. First was around 185 and it hit it really well but I pushed it way right of the green. I was happy to see it ended up pin high at least. It was struck well and had good height so I really wish I could have seen how it would have reacted on the green. On the second, I had 185ish again but uphill and playing more like 195. The 15mph helping wind and back pin made me consider 7i but I didn’t want to over swing so went 6i and pured it, hit my line to carry the left edge of a green side bunker. Easily one of my best swings of the day and it unfortunately carried to the flag and ended up 15ish yards off the back of the green. Still can’t believe I hit that 6i around 210 total.

Thankfully I accounted for the wind better with the t150s throughout the round including :
- playing a 7i on a 155y shot that I adjusted to 170 due to hurting wind (ended up around 10’ short of pin high and an uphill birdie look)
- playing a PW from 140y with helping wind, nice high flight that rode the wind and ended up 8’ and pin high

Every time I think about my next round of golf, I keep getting excited to hit the T150 and T250 irons again. They are so great and so much fun.

I hear you! I have been playing quick 9’s after work and only playing with my 150s because of how much I enjoy them.

If you had a shot that you can play the 150 7i or the 250 6i with pretty equal results, which would you go for?

for the extra spin and better overall control, I think I'd go T150 7i

Went out for a quick 9 this evening. Temps are still in the high 80s but I feel that might be coming to an end.
Played a mix of the tips and blues to change things up.
Both par 3s gave me bird looks but walked away with pars on each 🥲 - one was a 187yrd 6i that landed a few feet past the pin rolling out to about 8’. Actually had me holding my breath for a second. The other was 162yrd 8i that I stuck to 10’. Should have went 9i instead of soft 8i but am always happy with a GIR and solid birdie look. The T-150s just feel so natural to swing!

All in all, pretty good evening.

Got out for our weekly sim league round last night, and the pin-high leave consistency and carry numbers of these irons continues to shine. Was a bit of a different layout, lots of elevated approaches both up and down, and picking a club was a little tricky at times, but being able to trust a yardage and just swing is a freeing feeling, and leads to better results. The spin I’m seeing on less than perfect strikes is in line with my best numbers previously - the groove design works for me, and for others who have demoed my irons. The T250 5i is so impressive - this is easily my favourite iron out of the set, for how seamlessly it blends, the feel, the windows it hits for me, and for providing that easy button in a tricky spot in the bag.
