It definitely feels better than the last gen of balls. Callaway did a great job. Will say I’m not too sure about how fast it started to mark up. This has less than 50-60 swings on it between @e1iterate and I.

I wonder how much hitting a ball back to back so quickly into a sim might cause some quicker wear and tear vs giving a ball time to rest like you might when playing in real life?
A shot is a shot. Shouldn’t matter time between the shots. To be clear we were playing our own balls for the most part so was a little time between shots.
Friction will cause a ball to heat up and crack if you constantly hit it in a sim. It’s why so many people have problems with balls cracking before they learn it’s better to rotate between balls, or so says the customer service of a few different companies that I’ve seen give this answer on Facebook forums.
That said if you both weren’t using the same ball then it seems that’s likely not the issue.
I wouldn't hold the scuffing against the ball. The impacts against the screen are quite harsh.

I don’t. I had similar findings with the Bridgestone ball. But the marks on there I don’t believe are from the screen.
I haven’t been able to play 1 ball long enough to really test durability yet. I typically rotate. I think if I can get my swing to act right then I’m going to try and play just one ball again and this time make it more than 9 holes lol

Hard to say. Its 2 impacts for every swing because of the net/screen.

I have a net and it tears the balls up. I think a screen is a little easier on them.

Oh don’t I know the feeling! Yesterday’s round was TOUGH. That’s why I spent an hour and a half beating balls in the backyard today.
It hurt my feelings how bad I played. I ended up losing 6 Chrome Tour X balls and all were on the last 10 holes lol

I hit into a sim screen a lot. I've cracked a few balls from overuse but discoloration and paint wear is most common for me. Cover tears will only happen because of club impact not hitting the screen generally the wear I see on balls from club impact indoors is consistent with what I see outdoors.
Oh I didn’t mean hitting the screen had any sort of effect on the ball, more the club hitting the ball.
Unfortunately I don’t have much experience, yet, with hitting indoors. That dream sim shed is ever present in my mind lol
Once I get my garage organized, the wife has given the green light on one for me. Will allow for so much more testing.

There’s a building foreclosed just down the road with good parking space. It may be turning into a simulator. Be a pain in the butt yet the chance to hit when I want would be nice.
