Dude 25 minutes on a mix of 5 and 7 speed without holding onto the railing is one of my biggest accomplishments in life. 😆
7 seems intense! I'll hold a 5, but no thank you.

Today is the first day after the new heavier workout weights that I can move normally in the morning. That feels like improvement!

It was a two scoops of preworkout morning..

Finally not extremely sore after workout day today. Looking forward to Monday.

Being good sore is so fun.
After week 1 of my current workout routine, including 2 days with a personal trainer, I know this feeling quite well. And it’s different for me. I have always been a runner but have never actually engaged in a workout program.

Took a 7 mile run with a dusting of snow with some buddies yesterday morning before basketball.

It was 20 degree's when we started and 23 when we finished. We were not fast, not that I'm usually fast but because it rained on Thursday night there were a few slick spots.

Did this cycle today and almost puked 🤣. So out of shape but my wife did tell me she can tell in my back and sides that the kettlebell and cardio workouts have been working.

Week 1 of 12 done.

Supposed to be 2 hours on the road bike, did 3 and was aiming for more until A slashed rear tire and 3 flats made me call the Mrs to come pick me up.

4 days lifting. 2 days in the bike. 1 rest day.

I like this so far.

Wouldn't have gotten a flat if you just ran #justsayin!

Also, great work on getting week 1 in the books.

I would have just tripped or something and fallen down.

Wanted to share a product that I bought that has really helped me with my bench press. I have had some big worries about shoulder pain with BP, even when I am absolutely maniacal about my mechanics. This has not only almost eliminated that, but it's also allowing me to lift heavier with confidence.

But I'm old and my stupid body sucks. Now I have some elbow joint/tendon pain that seems to be related to pulling motions lol. Sigh.

Eliminate wrist pain as well?

How many pulling motions are you doing?

My coach wants me to test some maxes this week. Should be a good time.

Do you and your Coach have audible conversations during your workouts?

Usually me cursing him out. Telling him he's a jerk.

He tells me to shut up and get back under the bar.

Pull ups 2x a week (3 sets each)
Rows 2x a week (barbell and cable)
Probably 10 or more sets of various curls

If it's not just yelling, I don't want to hear about it.

I've never had a nice good coach. You get one or the other.

If you are set on doing the curls, make sure you finish each rep with the elbow past the hands. Like you're punching yourself in the face. That takes pressure off of the distal end (elbow) and puts in in the proximal (shoulder). Don't worry about hurting your should here. There is very little rotation and should be just fine.

What I would actually recommend is to dial back the curls for right now. Switch to pull ups instead. See if that takes some pressure off of the elbows.

I have a little bit of back/bottom of my shoulder blade pain right now.

I also set my quads on fire this morning with my leg routine that shouldn't have been as hard as it was but apparently my run on Saturday took more from my legs than I thought it did.
