2026 LIV Golf Roster Rumor Thread

how much of that was from niemann carrying him to team titles?
When they changed to all 4 scores counting one person can't carry a team to win.....but one person could keep them off the podium

He’d be smart to let the PGA TOUR stuff figure itself out and then find out if he can come back to the tour or go to the DP World Tour
Probably what he will do. I hope this isn’t the end for him

There’s a path back. Somebody’s already done it. Can’t remember the name but he went back to LIV instead.
He has way too much money to go grind it all over the place overseas

One of the Vincent brothers did it when Legion cut him

Laurie Canter was relegated after 2023, played DP Tour in 2024, got his PGA Tour card back for 2025, then took Henrik Stenson’s spot on the Majesticks. I think I have all that right.

Shame. His game was so good his last season on the PGA.

This surprised me a lot.

As a retirement, does it open a pathway back to the PGA Tour?

Retirement or not, pretty sure he has to wait a year from his last LIV event

The worse kept secret for LIV

This is a solid off season for LIV. I think Majesticks probably should have made a change, but overall not bad. Then there is still what the Iron Heads will do and if there is a name change coming

LIV Golf’s off-season so far:
• 54 to 72 holes
• Brooks Koepka leaves
• Sergio Garcia signs multi-year extension
• Victor Perez signs with Cleeks GC
• Scott Vincent, Yosuke Asaji join via International Series
• Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood re-sign for 2026
• Abe Ancer traded to Torque GC
• Luis Masaveu signs with Fireballs GC

You have to wonder if it will hurt Koepka's game if he takes a bye-year from PGA and LIV. But, I guess he can keep it sharper by playing the Majors and probably can play on other tours.

This post is why I can’t take Brandel seriously, among other things.

This post is a direct contradiction of all that he has been saying since LIV was formed.

He talks about competitiveness, league being “diluted” and all of that. Which is confusing because from the beginning LIV was taking payers who were “done” or close to being “done” and not offering a competitive element to the tour.

I guess now he has to back track and cover but the receipts are there and this who read it, know he’s full of shiit

Interesting arguments here from Brandel. The Tour players who remained profited greatly from LIV being in existence.

Rippers get a solid young Aussie

4Aces gets Detry and looks like Varner is going to Smash GC

Varner is someone I wish would play to his potential

I’ve been a fan of LIV as I like the team concept but I think it’s pretty fair to say this offseason hasn’t been great. Laurie Canter, Elvis Smylie, and Thomas Detry as the signings leaves a lot to be desired. Heard they made an 8 figure offer to Max Greyserman that was turned down. If they can’t even pick off guys at that level anymore it’s concerning.

It is all boiling down to the OWGR. LIV isn't going to attract most of the better American players for fear of the PGAT ban and heavy hand if they return.

I think you will see more euros or younger college guys look at LIV because the money is better and they don't have that tie to the PGAT>

Detry finally gets a win and decides to take the bag. Disappointing but can't blame him I guess.

Shocker, Brandel still hates LIV, lol

“It’s not about retributions. It’s about setting a precedent. If they allow Brooks to come back after leaving and causing or contributing to the disruption of the game and normalising defection to LIV, the message will be clear that the rules only apply to the expendable and not to the exceptional. I think that’s corrosive.”

While sure Brooks likely will be suspended in some way, the hysteria that comes out of Chamblee is nauseating at this point.

Or you could say allowing Brooks to come back because him leaving made pga tour players tons more money, and they are still supposed to be independent contractors

I care a lot more about what Rory has to say about this than that other one. Rory was arguably affected by people leaving to join LIV. The other one was affected not at all, yet he has a serious case of LDS.

Agreed, LIV brought the PGA bigger purses and really exposed how the money was being used. But this “disruption to the game of golf” position can get bent.

Yep, agree. Rory is integral part of the PGA, Brandel not so much.

At this point, the PGA can use the help. Koepka is not a "move the needle player" like Tiger, but will help ratings.

Rooting hard for AK today. He’s put in a ton of work and it would be great to see him earn his spot back for next year.
