Definitely overpaid Bregman. Great player when he is healthy, but in 3 years, that’s going to be an ugly contract.

Same. He’d be a good fit in Boston, but they could’ve kept Devers if that was the plan. He was already excellent here for 30k.I’ll be interested in seeing where Bichette signs and for how much.
IIRC there was a quote from the owner to the effect of when they pay someone 30m they expect them to also be a leader and that Devers failed on that front with all the business about position changes. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were willing to pay Bichette that Devers/Bregman money.Same. He’d be a good fit in Boston, but they could’ve kept Devers if that was the plan. I like giving the kids a chance and get a pitcher.
I like the move, because I think it protects against Nico leaving while adding a bat to replace Tucker. Different type of bat, but he's got legitimate experience in the post season that should help some of these younger guys.Hey @Hawk what are your thoughts on Bregman? Shocked Ricketts made the move at that price let alone deferred $ for the first time!
I see he has 2 years left on his contract.Arenado traded from Cards to D-Backs for a minor league.
Should be a fun summer at Busch stadium for the best fans in baseball!Arenado traded from Cards to D-Backs for a minor league pitcher.
Now the Mets are sniffing around Tucker
If I am the Astros I bring him home on a deal, not state tax and all of that. It’s interesting that nobody is willing to go big money for long years on Tucker even though he’s only 28. And this after a 2nd team is basically letting him walk.
He has to be. If the 3/150 deal is real then he would be 31 and hit the open market again after just making an insane amount of money.50 mill a year is big money, man. Is he chasing crazy long term?
What I mean is he isn’t getting 10-12 years at 40m per, as was predicted. The market seems to be deciding he’s really good but not great.50 mill a year is big money, man. Is he chasing crazy long term?
Wait, what? What I mean is he isn’t getting 10-12 years at 40m per, as was predicted. The market seems to be deciding he’s really good but not great.
That is crazy big money.Wait, what?
50 million a year just says really good?
What in the hell is happening?
I know it's been said - but the Dodgers are killing Major League baseball right now...and it's probably going to affect CBA negotiations.I went on mlb.com yesterday and they said the finalists for Tucker are Mets, Blue Jays, and of course the Dodgers.
Just in case...the Dodgers can spend 50M a year on Tucker and their 2026 payroll will still be lower than 2025.I went on mlb.com yesterday and they said the finalists for Tucker are Mets, Blue Jays, and of course the Dodgers.
Comment shall be deferredJust in case...the Dodgers can spend 50M a year on Tucker and their 2026 payroll will still be lower than 2025.
I have read several accounts stating that the Blue Jays have made him a long term offer. I don’t know what the money is.It’s interesting that nobody is willing to go big money for long years on Tucker even though he’s only 28. And this after a 2nd team is basically letting him walk.
Boston gets a SP
