Boston gets a SP
50 million a year for a player that is not historically good is exactly why this game is shrinking.Tucker is the best of this years crop but not historically good. However it doesn’t seem like he’s asking Juan Soto money either. Strange
But more than that, is impending potential lockout/strike scaring teams?

Teams are generally hesitant to hand out 5 year contracts to 30 year old pitchers. You would think he would have more suitors and multiple long term offers to choose from.
This might be old news but that is one hell of an opt out clause if true

Doesn’t look like it. I saw Met Beat writer in the bio and then I saw he doubled down on it today. I dug a little more and it looks like a bot or satire account. Is that for real? When I went to a game last year there was a substantial Latin flavor within the stadium. They had in game activities and promotions that were Latin-centric, such as a name that tune that was in Spanish. A lot of people inside the stadium wore Mets jerseys that were also branded from like Puerto Rico, for example. So it is obviously important to the Mets, and that’s cool. But guaranteeing 10 guys on the roster will be Latin seems nuts, if not illegal.
It’s also not realhahahahaha what a ridiculous clause.
The Tigers have money which is the funny thing. But the Skubal free agency won’t go their way. He’s as good as gone. BUT:MLB last night talking about Skubal.
Deal him in winter
Deal him at deadline (hoping no injury)
Or let him walk
They basically said there is no chance of an extension and that he would be going to one of the 6 mentioned in every other free agent signing.
Its wild that this is still a thing.
And so do many (not all) others. The Cubs were somehow able to find enough coins in the couch to pay for Bregman. The Tigers have money which is the funny thing. But the Skubal free agency won’t go their way. He’s as good as gone. BUT:
If I’m the Tigers GM I overpay if I have to for Valdez.
Keep Skubal, Go for it and let him walk.
Sets them up with an ace WHEN Skubal leaves for LA and puts them in World Series contention this year for the fans.
This brings me back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This sport should diehahahahahahahahaha
Good.
Are you ******* kidding me?
Can't wait to see the contract structure - 5 years, $200 million, with $150 million deferred until 2050.This sport should die
This sport should not die. This sport should die
You know what I meantThis sport should not die.
It should thrive.
Not saying he's a bad player or anything, because he's not...but I didn't see the allure at the prices I was seeing - especially coming off a down year that followed an injury year where he played less than 100 games.I think this is great news.
The league is one step closer from a full fracture, and the Jays don't need that lazy sack on their roster. I hope he goes full Rendon in LA.
