EXPERIENCE 2026 Shaft Up #1 with UST Mamiya

I mean, I fully agree but some will still prob complain 🤷
I don't think we've ever seen anyone complain that signups weren't open long enough

Excited for sign ups soon. Would be so damn cool to be a part of this. I definitely need a better handle on what driver shaft i should be using.

I’m not working hard leading into this event. I’ve destroyed myself with swing changes and thoughts. Just gonna play lot of golf and be in shape ready to play a great course.

I could really use some professional help with my driver swing, this is a must sign up for.

Interested to see if Danny fits me into one of these. I am currently in the Proto.

I'm definitely interested in trying both. I love that the 5S is 59g as I've gotten along with that weight well. I could see myself going blue 5S in driver and red 6S in fairway if I jump in without a fitting.

I done the online fit just now and it gave me the Blue 6 x flex. Will be very interesting as I didn't get along with the LINQ blue well

Sure it was a shaft issue?

Never can be 100%. I was in red and won the blue on instagram. It was the only variable on the day I tested them. I sold it pretty cheap to a THPer since I didn't have anything invested. The only difference was the red was 1 inch shorter. Strike and distance was better.

Interesting. I think of you similar to me (but much different speeds) in that we are looking for consistency and centering.

I agree with this. I'm dialing back speed trying to stay out of the deep trouble. I think this fitting could allow even more "go for it" type golf. I am leaving yards on the table right now even after just being fit. Center of the face is king. When I get my speed up to the upper 110s I have no control over anything. Just don't have that in me anymore

Its interesting you say this - I came into Shaft Up 2 last year in probably the worst driver shape ever. I was happy with my setup (GT3 w/ WB), but found myself trying to guide shots too much because I was afraid of a two-way miss.

Once Danny set me up with the right shaft & head combination, his first comment was to just "go for it" (really it was "just swing ******* fast") and let the club / shaft take over. Low and behold, its freed me up to stop thinking about where to put the ball, and instead just focus on getting my body in the right position to swing ******* fast.

Injuries and time are catching up with the soon to be 45 year old. I want to "go for it" but I also know that the difference in playing consistently at 280-290 off the tee is better than the random 315 with the next one in the bush. Really looking forward to teeing up with Danny again. Good dude and a lot of fun to play with.

Totally get it.

I think thats the beauty of the Powercore though - it takes what you give it. In swings where I try to muscle it, it responds very well and gives me the extra omph I'm trying to get. But in other times where I'm trying to be a bit more conservative, it still puts me in a really good position most of the time. The responsiveness of the shaft is truly unique.

I can't wait for you and the rest of the crew to get fitted by Danny in this shaft.
