7 wood players - What is your next club down?

7W to 5H (27*) then 5i which sometimes stays behind anyway.
I've got a 7W arriving tomorrow according to UPS to repalce 4H. Plan for right now is for 7W-5H-5i nbecause the 5i serves a much different purpose than 5H.
7w with 1.5 degrees of loft added, so 22.5 degrees, to a 5i at 25. Carry distance gap is great but my lack of speed (driver sits in the high 90s - working on it) leaves my angle of descent with the 5i wanting a bit. Actively watching used GT1 9 woods and will drop the 5i in a heartbeat.
Low flight and inadequate landing angle of the 5i are big reasons I have a 5H in the bag. 5H gives me a much higher peak height, more carry yardage, and a more optimal landing angle. But, I haven't been able to hit the low recovery shot with 5H when faced with low hanging trees early then room to cover some distance. 5i does that for me.

7w-5i

I see lots of 9W love here.

Seeing how much I enjoy my 7W I'd be curious to try one but I think Ping is the only one that makes a LH 9W. I tried the G440 7W against the TM 7W I have and I could not make good contact with the Ping at all. It felt so different.

I have 21* 7W, then 23* UW, then 6i.

Bad gapping on the sim (UW too far), but good on the course so far.

I found that the 5H is more 4i distance for me so that’s why I keep the 5i. Thing is, it’s pretty easy to cheat the 5H into thinking it’s a 5i too.

For me, it's 5 iron right now - might become 9 wood at some point.

Yeah, my 5H carry is longer than my 5i so it isn't a apples to apples yardage comparison for me either.

HW - 4i been considering finding something to replace the 4i as I just don't hit it well enough.

My 7 wood plays around 19.5 right now. Next club down is a 24* 5 super hybrid.

From 7W to 5H for me

Then we go 6-AW
That's where I'm at right now, but I still have a 5H in the bag between them (7W > 9W > 5H > 6i). I need to get on a LM and see what the gapping looks like, I just put the 9W in the bag recently and the 5H might be same (or very close) yardage and I won't really need it.

9 Wood Mavrik style ..

5h

5 iron for me

If I'm using 7 wood, I'm usually jumping to 5 iron next

4 iron

I go 7w (215yd club) -> 5i (200-205 yd club)

I fill the bag with driver, a mini and then a 5w or UT then 5-AW and 2 wedges.

Currently 4i but pondering a switch to either a 9w, 4h, or adding a mini driver, lofting the 7w up from 20 to 21 and going straight to 5i.

5w to 9w. Replaces my 4i
I get a warm and fuzzy anytime it comes out of the bag!

5 hybrid

4 hybrid?
5 hybrid?
An iron?

Still a bit torn on what going to transition back into my irons. I'm currently using a 4H lofted up. Not sure if maybe a legit, easy to hit 5H before going to my 5i might be a better fit.

Just curious where others have found success.

7 wd, 5H, 7-PW, sometimes 6-PW

I go 7w which is lofted to 23* then a 26* hybrid
