Been battling back issues for decades and the last couple of months have been especially bad. Conventional medicine/therapy has been completely ineffective, so desperate for relief I’ve turned to acupuncture. And so far the results have been amazing. Went from crippling pain (literally the worst I’ve ever experienced) to almost nothing in the course of just two treatments. Of course it’s also possible that things are just settling down on their own, but the timing is interesting.

So I’m wondering if anyone else has gone this route and what your experience might have been. Am I fooling myself, is it a placebo, or might the ancients have been onto something all along?

I have no clue. I’ll look at it like a chiropractor. The business model alone never treats anything it’s temporary it makes you come back. It doesn’t fix any problems.

Look for a chiropractor that practices Network Chiropractic. they can be hard to find but if you need assistance I can ask my chiro for a recommendation. They use accupressure to teach your body to release without manipulation. It has been a godsend for me.

Yeah, I’ve done chiropractic for probably five or six years now, but when discussing my most recent imaging reports, the chiropractor said he was going to completely back off the adjustments…just too much going on to mess with. Scoliosis with protrusions, compression, stenosis at every level. I don’t even know what all the words mean, but I know it hurts, and I know there’s ultimately no “fix” for everything that’s wrong back there. so pain management may be all I have to hang my hat on.

I’ve been trying to convince my wife to try this. She’s had 5 back surgeries thanks to high school / college cheerleading and is full of screws.
