Ping Eye 2 irons. I was always impressed with Karston Solheim and his thoughts to improve the average golfer's game with these irons. Most golf club companies back then made irons for low handicappers but Ping was shooting for the average golfer and help him/her get better.

What about these? They had a huge head compared to everything back in the day. They also went from CB to perimeter weighted with the cut in behind the cavity. They also sold a lot of sets with graphite shafts which was unheard of in irons.
