Alphard Golf club booster v2

That Triswivel setup is sooo good. I have the quad with the wheel modification but have been keeping my eye out for a Triswivel.
I ran the Quad XL with front swivel kit for a couple of years, but really wanted the TriSwivel II cart but it was discontinued. When BagBoy came on here last year and announced a limited run of them was going to be available, I ordered it ASAP. Best move I ever did, the swivel front wheel is a game changer with the V2 power wheels.

My buddy just grabbed a complete setup, V2 and TriSwivel II, locally for $400 cash........................he beat me to it.

We both already have the same setup, but it was too good of a deal to pass up.

That’s awesome! I must have missed that thread on the sale dang it. The quad is ok but I’d prefer the single front swivel wheel.

It finally happened. The battery died on me today. I played 18 yesterday and was kind of non committal to walking 18 again today. I finally decided to do it and only had time to leave battery on charger for 2 hrs before I went to make my tee time. It didn't get a full charge but it showed up as 5 dots on the cart when I got to the course. I figured it would do fine. Well as I was walking my cart out to the parking lot after my 18 it just died in the middle of the path. I had to push it out to my car. Glad I didn't have to push on the course as my wagon was dragging there at the end. I left the unit on to make sure I really get down to 0% battery and will do a full charge probably tomorrow.

I'm joining the club. Pulled the trigger on the V2Pro since the price dropped $200 for BF. Two of my friends have had these for a while so I know it will work out for me as well. I was most impressed with its performance at Bandon earlier this year....over the four days and six rounds of golf my buddy's V2 handled every situation with ease.

Purchased the V2 Pro upgrade kit on BF. I am bummed that I will need a longer storage box for it now but luckily Home Dpt had the larger Plano on a BF special too. I am also bummed that I had been building quite the sticker collection on my current Plano and will have to start over on the new one.

For the ones of you that already have the V2 Pro setup, do you enjoy it more than the old set up?

Absolutely worth the money. Much quicker/easier setup and take-apart, much more solid connection to the cart too. No more rubber pads wearing out, no more clamps getting loose and needing adjusting.

Only issue I'm seeing with it, is the wheelie bars come loose from the main bolt that rotates everything. Simple fix is to drill a hole straight thru them and the bolt, and put a small bolt and nut in. Keeps everything solid.

I’d say I’m more happy than not. It’s nice to have a little faster setup. It’s quieter for sure on the course which I like. The narrower wheel width is nice in a straight line but doesn’t turn quite as well with the Quad XL. I’ve had to retighten nuts and bolts on it more than I’d like.

So do I need to add some blue loctite as I install?

Blue Loctite is your friend.
I swapped out the philips screws that came with the kit over to hex head screws, much easier to work with.

Thats a good upgrade, mind sharing the size and quantity and I will grab some and be ready when my kit arrives.

8 - M4x10
4 - M3x10

Those are the ones that come as philips head, allen head makes it so much easier.

Good call on doing that. I don't have mine anymore or I would be all in on doing this as well. Also, since these screws are going to be subject to moisture, I highly recommend getting them in stainless steel.

Debated buying a new battery on Black Friday deal. My V2 still makes it through a round real easy so didn't want to spend the cash yet.

My V2Pro arrived this weekend and I got it all set up with my Caddytek cart. Everything was packed up nicely in the box:

I'm really impressed with the fit and finish, and love the quick and easy connection. Overall it adds about 3 inches to the wheelbase width compared to the regular cart wheels. Drives nice a smooth around my driveway.....I won't get a chance to use it at the course until I get back from a trip to see family next weekend.

Did you have a problem with your CaddyTek cart drifting one way if you let it go down a slope by itself? Mine does and that gives me pause on buying this opposed to a purpose built electric caddy. I know it has a gyroscope but if the drift is caused my the front wheel, I don't know that the gryro would correct it.

I've never let the cart go down a slope on its own, so I don't know if it would drift or not. Too many times I've watched my buddies let their cart go (not a Caddytek cart) only for them to run after it to keep it from tipping over.

I'll pay attention to how the V2Pro reacts with it on slopes and report back.

I've put my V2 and TriSwivel in many situations where any other combo would tip over, but mine never does. It's a very stable combo, and the low CG of the V2 really helps keep it planted on the ground, and the wide stance helps to keep it upright.

Thank you.

I noticed that even pushing mine one handed I had to correct it because of the drift. I'm still not 100% on whether I'll go the V2 route or another full electric caddy.

Ok doing a search for these and I have some questions. Do these need to be a countersink style? Do I need an actual pointed end screw for both sizes or do they need to be blunt like machine screws? Just want to be sure I order the correct styles.

Blunt, like a machine screw.
Regular hex cap screws, no countersinking needed.

I've had mine on both a Nitron and a Quad Pro and never had any issue where it has rolled and I've been on some steep slopes. Only real issue is going up a steep side slope, sometimes I'll put a hand on the bar to help guide it because unless you go straight up one wheel will start to spin and it gets offline, but never tipped.

When I try to climb a super steep hill, and there is some moisture in the grass..................it will need a helping hand to push it along.

Other than that, it's as stable as an Abrams tank.

Did you thread the hole after drilling? I used hex heads with a socket to tighten but I can see the allen head would be a great way to go also.
